Yeah they certainly look like they've rounded the bases a few times.
-
Wright is not winning the MVP ,against Hudson this season he has a .333 avg, which means nothing really....
-
Closers are just not used to being pulled,I'd have not cared of Willie ran Sosa out for the ninth but I imagine Wagner would have.....yeah that should count for nothing but it does......Willie on Wagner.... ] He was rested, Randolph said. He was facing the middle of the lineup. Thats what hes getting paid to do.

Johnny Dickshot wrote: Whatever Paul. How about catching a basestealer. A question on that ninth inning, were they running crazy on Wagner or LoDuca ,shouldn't your closer pay some attention to the runners. It was a disgrace.

LoDuca was understandably hot after the game..... ] "We'll get our chance to come back and take care of these guys," Lo Duca said. "They're dancing around the field now, but we'll see what happens when the time comes."

Wright - 2 Perez - 2 Anderson - 1.5 Beltran - 1.5 Sosa - 1 Lo Duca - 1

I'm watching the encore of this game on SNY and I'm all depressed again, they ran fucking wild in the ninth.....

Frayed Knot wrote: There have been a lot more seasons we'd be begging for this kind of excitement compared to the handful where it's considered a disappointment. So true.....many a season at this point the only thing to look forward to was September call ups.......we have the Phills and Braves at Shea still to come.......
-
yancy also stated that he'd be not one bit surprised to come back and find the Mets out of first.....he'd be pissed but not surprised.
-
I'm gutted, would not be surprised to see Philly take the bit between the teeth and run with it now, still we have them at Shea in a few weeks. I can't remember being this disapointed in the regular season ever...
-
I can't take this.....

Frayed Knot wrote: Hey I got a good idea, let's get shut out in the middle innings by a guy with a 6.00 ERA and a 1.80 WHiP !! And named Clay fucking Condrey....

And 18 of those 40 home runs have come at Shea,of his 100 RBI 49 at Shea....you're right though, his HR splits against the mets versus everyone else is freaky. http://www.baseball-reference.com/pi/bsplit.cgi?n1=burrepa01

Pedro To Start 9/8 or 9/9 Home Vs. The Astros

It's crazy but some of the beat writers are of the opinion that if Pedro pitches half way decent and the Mets make the post-season then he's the third starter(both things are no given )....in fact Steve Popper the Mets beat writer for the Bergan Record stated on a podcast that he feels no matter what Pedro is starting in the post-season..no chance of him going to the pen.. -
Willie was rightly very critical of Perez walking Moyer, just can't be doing that,

Would Milledge had made that slide, would he got on in the first place,Mets win today and get the Phillies back to four then take two in Atlanta....we can do this.
