  2. I don't think I have ever been so ho-hum about two pitchers reaching 350 as I was about ass head and am about Maddux.
  3. Family patriarch dies and as family and friends gather at his home for the funeral high jinks ensue in this dark Brit comedy. I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard during a movie , this is a riot.

  12. It seems the pen gets a lot of work with the Mets , not sure how much more or less than other teams , anyway I think it would be interesting to see how those 68 runs break down amongst the starters and the pen. I suppose in my mind I think that if the starters went deeper into games that number might be better, which of course could be totally false.
  13. Reading the comments section it seems Great American Ballpark is not much liked.

  15. Brady Anderson retired years ago , Brady Clarke only recently. Should Delgado be worried? Oh sorry , Clarke didn't retire , right?

    Angel

If only ngel bloodied his chin he would be hailed for his courage and intangibles .

Mr. Redleg -- their live action, vaguely Mr. Met-liike mascot, falls off a cart on the warning track and his head pops off. It's completely awesome. Saw it on the tube the other night , hilarious , although for a second I thought he might be hurt , then I resumed laughing.

    Looser

I've looked high and low and nothing , in fact I don't think I have ever actually seen a picture of that sign.

  21. batmagadanleadoff wrote: ="metirish"]Watching the happy replay last night and when Castillo was taking his first at bat Gary talked about how Castillo is just more comfortable and happier hitting second , when hitting eight he doesn't have the same patience , I'm paraphrasing. I remember that. You hear stuff like that often and I always though it was a bunch of horseshit. Gary also mentioned that Castillo sees different pitches batting eighth and that his approach would change depending on where he was batting. More horseshit. Because what? He'd hit more homeruns batting second? What? Castillo has a resepectable command of the strike zone and if he's getting more balls batting eighth, I would presume that he's smart enough to take those pitches and work out the walk. With two outs, the walk clears the pitcher. It's the same game. Swing at the strikes and lay off the balls. Yeah it sounded to me like Castillo lost interest when batting eight .

  23. Schneider has been injured and missed time but so far he's underwhelming and his heralded defense is terrible .
  24. Very cool Seo , looks like a great time and that kid rocks.
