Good article from Lukas , Meisel sounds like he will try and accommodate just about anything to get a sale , which of course is his job. A shame about the Agee marker.

Great article , very interesting. I never knew that they used Shea as such a marker, and I never knew that a pilot in 1964 mistook the lights on top of the stadium for the runway and nearly hit it .

Gary did go a little crazy which was funny , what I liked there though was how Keith and Ron disagreed with him after watching the replay , made for great TV.

I didn't think it was possible to be worse than Sandy as third base coach but this guy is making a push to be. A thankless job for sure , I would like to know what happened last night with Murphy.

I thought Gary Cohen set things up nicely last night when R Martinez came to bat in that inning. Cancel has caught a lot of games for Pedro I think.

Only time I watch ESPN these days is if they are showing the Mets on Sunday Night. I have long found it frustrating waiting around for updates or highlights of games that interest me. But yeah baseball this last week has been fun and torture on alternating nights.

During the game last night or maybe it was the night before they showed Maine sitting in the bullpen yakking with Smith , Gary wondered if we would see him in that nights game. I thought to myself things are more than desperate if they bring him in for some key outs. Manuel last night seemed to have put paid to any thoughts of Maine pitching again this season. Despite the medical people telling him that Maine pitching would not cause additional harm to his shoulder Manuel doesn't want to risk it for Maine's sake and indicated that Maine would not get in any games. ] "I just don't like anybody pitching young with anything," Manuel said. "That's just my hang-up. It's nobody's hang-up but mine." "Let me put that this way, I think that John Maine worked so hard to come back and be a part of this. For me, the reward is to activate him. Now, how I use him might be questionable."

No Mets patch on the sleeve , so this would be a M&N original just not anything that the Mets wore? I like it , just don't want to look like a dick wearing something that might be a knock off.

I got this as a gift this week ,it's a Mitchell & Ness Cooperstown Collection . I don't remember seeing any Mets jersey's with the New York like that on the front.Is it form 1986/87?

Brewers have Yovani Gallardo going tonight , he just got back from the DL , been injured most of the year. Duke going for the Pirates , 5-14 record....sorry I was looking for a reason to be optimistic in that game.
