  1. A pitcher named Armando Rodriguez who conjures up visions of Rich and Benitez like Rich wears number 46 I hope he pitches better than Benitez
  2. ="Frayed Knot"]]Francisco Rodriguez -- Work on consecutive days: 9 Nine ... Really? Yeah , I've been wondering about those....Feliciano 18 days?
  3. Nice work by Olney , those are some scary numbers .
  4. ="Gwreck"]I'm very surprised to be so strongly outvoted here. For the record, there have been a total of three other games put in this thread: 1. Church misses third/Reed throwing error to end game (at LA) 2. Bullpen meltdown (at Pittsburgh) 3. Castillo drops flyball (at Yankees). --- I guess I missed the memo where this list was limited to 3 games. Thanks for this little list......I am going to add last nights game to that list , will it be there at the end of the season as one of the worst losses? , maybe not but right now it is.
  5. ] "My life is extraordinary now," Davonte said. "Ordinary kids don't get to throw out the first pitch." Gotta love that from the kid, nice one.
  6. I'm sure there will be worse losses and yeah the Castillo game will live long in my memory but last nights game while it didn't claw my heart out it was in my opinion a shitty loss, we waste a fine start by Hernandez and can't touch the other guy and our manager didn't paint himself in glory either.
  7. It's on my list. I thought it was embarrassing they way Pineiro mowed them down . I've no problem with getting shut down by an elite pitcher , he is not one of those.
  8. Fman99 wrote: Well that sucked a lot of hard Mets cock. I was thinking limp cock.
  9. ] Pineiro may throw a complete game here without breaking 90 pitches. This is embarrassing , it's like I'm watching an all time great here , but it's Joel fucking Pineiro.
  10. So we come back after the long rain delay with the bases still loaded and Livan throws one pitch and gets the fly ball from Ankeil. There ought to be a law against swinging at the first pitch after a long rain delay.
  11. Rain delay with the bases loaded......the booth going to take calls , Keith loves it. Cardinals up 1 to 0
  12. Cardinals (39-32) Schumaker 2B Duncan LF Pujols 1B Ludwick RF Ankiel CF Molina C Greene 3B Pineiro P Ryan SS Mets (35-33) Cora SS Murphy 1B Wright 3B Tatis LF Church RF Santos C Martinez CF Castillo 2B Hernandez P
  13. Thanks Grim , I would have hoped for an answer that didn't make me look like a proper fool.
  14. I'm on a roll No idea what these numbers mean , Lennon posted this Cora 6 Murphy 3 Wright 5 Tatis 7 Church 9 Santos 2 F. Mart 8 Castillo 4 Livan 1
  15. Your slipping Edgy but that was a good find .
  16. Nice job by you Duan. All the best with the missus.
  17. LaRussa should sit Pujols or something.
  18. Holy shit the Mets are able to field a "team" Cora, ss Murphy, 1b Wright, 3b Tatis, lf Church, rf Santos, c Reed, cf Castillo, 2b Redding, rhp
  19. From the link provided ] Two sources told the Daily News that Elmer Dessens was supposed to be called up, in place of Nick Evans, but the Mets may have backed off the move.
  20. A huge hole in that lineup with Beltran not there......hope your feeling tip top Sheffield , no pressure there David.......
  21. ="Edgy DC":puo2bx4k]All y'all bloggers bitching about the Mets populating their AAA squad with big league vets fallen on hard times (as if no other team does this), congratualte yourselves. You got what you wanted today, as the Mets not only released Wily Mo Peña and Javier Valentine, but they also cut ties with Bobby Kielty. Bobby Kielty! He had barely even gotten to bat! Thirty-three trips to the plate![/quote:puo2bx4k] Says the King of the bitchers..... I obviously pay zero attention to what's going on in AAA as I had forgotten about Kielty . I have a vague memory of when he signed some time ago.... Edgy DC Jun 22 2009 01:42 PM Buffalo down 7-4 with onegone in the ninth and a runner on, and Fernando Martinez geets pinch-hit for against a righty as the Herd sends fellow lefthanded batter Jesus Feliciano up. This frightens me that Beltran may soon be DLtran. The Herd, meanwhile, managed to rally for two runs before Michel Abreu whiffed. metsguyinmichigan Jun 22 2009 01:56 PM Wow. The only (good) reason for them to be doing this is if they have a bunch of outfield prospects coming up from AA. Benjamin Grimm Jun 22 2009 01:57 PM Or could a trade be imminent? Farmer Ted Jun 22 2009 01:58 PM I have no problem with the Mets loading up on vets in AAA for a few months to see if they pan out. Obviously this bunch didn't. I just hope that the perennial "who the heck is this guy" keeps finding a way to contribute to the big team, i.e. Timo Perez, Endy Chavez, Anderson Hernandez, Nick Evans, Daniel Murphy, Omir Santos, et al. Edgy DC Jun 22 2009 01:59 PM Re: Enough with you bloggers and your bitching ="metirish":29tg6ixo]="Edgy DC":29tg6ixo]All y'all bloggers bitching about the Mets populating their AAA squad with big league vets fallen on hard times (as if no other team does this), congratualte yourselves. LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Jun 22 2009 02:28 PM ="metsguyinmichigan":163wng05]Wow. OlerudOwned Jun 22 2009 03:11 PM Was anyone really complaining about this? I thought that's what the modern AAA club was, a place to store fliers. Edgy DC Jun 22 2009 05:00 PM Bloggers. SteveJRogers Jun 22 2009 05:11 PM Are you sure it wasn't based on exactly who they were stockpiling the roster with as opposed to the practice in general? There is a difference between "proven crap" and stockpiling AAAA players, or journeymen. OlerudOwned Jun 22 2009 05:16 PM ="Edgy DC":2jyp6gj8]Bloggers.[/quote:2jyp6gj8] Matt Cerone doesn't count, he's a chump. (I have no idea who in particular you're implicating. Just sayin'.) Ashie62 Jun 22 2009 07:30 PM ="Edgy DC":khedg9c9]Bloggers.[/quote:khedg9c9] Thank the death of printed Media for bloggers..Ask F.A.F.I.F his opinion Edgy..for $20 to the community chest takes all I am offering my no Reyes or Delgado in a regular season game prop again..$1000 is beyond me Edgy DC Jun 22 2009 09:02 PM Well, Jeez, if Matt Cerrone doesn't count, then I'm out of luck. Look, I don't mean to indict a whole community or nothing, it's just an attitude I come across. Don't act like there wasn't a handful of yucks here when the Buffalo roster weas posted with all it's leftovers. Ash, I don't quite understand what you're proposing, but i think you've got it backward regarding bloggers and print media. And really, I love bloggers. Juat having fun with tone. Wocka-wocka.

    Wily Mo

Pena is the kind of player that would thrive under Bobby Valentine , not that that means anything. Just that he reminds me of a Benny Agbayani type.
  23. No class at all. "I never carry less than $1,000. But flying high? Looks like I'm still flying pretty f------ high. And by the way, I'm flying higher." Hate to see a guy go down like this but jeez he hardly makes it easy does he.
  24. I think Cohen felt the same way as Edgy....I do too ....Gary remarked that he asked Manuel about Feliciano and Jerry said that if he only uses him for one batter a night then he can trot him out as much as he wants.
  25. I really like Gary Cohen for lots of reasons and one of them is that at times what he says is exactly what I am thinking watching the game. When Stokes came in the game Gary wondered yet again why he is so underused . Then when Parnell was out there struggling Gary practically pleaded with the powers that be to stop using him so much , " maybe he needs to be sent back down, he's only a kid"....then when Feliciano was trotted out there again he talked about how he leads the league in games but also wondered what after Rodriguez, Green and Feliciano is there in this bullpen . Great stuff from him.
