  1. Not me, in fact I think a first time GM would be less inclined to hire Bobby , in such a GM/Manager team Bobby would be the bigger name/personality , with Alderson I think they both have the name, the history and the strong personalities to match up.
  2. @SI_JonHeymanword is, fred wilpon wants alderson as #mets gm. question is whether jeff w. wants someone else bad enough to fight it.

  4. Ah , just taking the piss outta the guy , a pro-golfer that no one outside his family and you heard of.

  6. Star Wars never did anything for me. Don't know why. This , and even though I enjoyed it I think I enjoyed it more because of my son....I know I would have not sat through it otherwise thanks Sharon
  7. My son has been talking a lot this past few weeks about Star Wars....he must be getting it from Pre-k because I have never actually watched any of them. My wife bought him some PJ's and shirts last week and it's all he wants to wear. There is a Star Wars cartoon that we let him watch at times....loves it....then a few days ago he asked me if he could watch the Star Wars movie , I told him we didn't have it and he asked me to get it......he's talking up a storm these days....so I told him I would buy it and that we would watch it when I got home, missus said it was all he talked about on the way home form school...luckily I had gone to Best Buy and got it......so , for the first time ever I watched the whole movie and it was with my son......very cool. So , the movie even now looks pretty cool graphically, it must have been revolutionary in 1977 , we enjoyed it a lot and I felt like wow about time I got in to it When I came home yesterday it was on again...
  8. I read last week that Alderson's return today is to finish the first interview and is not considered his second interview....
  9. You know what really grinds my gears? , that camera cutting to Girardi and the smug look on his face, like his shit don't stink or something.....fuck you Joe
  10. The guy can't sun but he can sure hit......fuck yeah....
  11. That they got anything out of this is a surprise, maybe the nature of the crime had something to do with the union not fighting all the way for the money.
  12. He looks suspiciously like Rob Neyer
  13. No doubt LWFS, he seems a lot more comfortable with basketball. Maybe it's that he only calls baseball once a year but on that single to left field that the pinch runner went form first to third he screamed like it was a walk off.
  14. Did anyone else notice the deafening silence from the booth when Jeter tried his patented throw that came up way short? , then Ron blurted out something about not getting his legs....yyybbb..... Ernie Johnson is absolutely useless, a good announce you hardly even notice but a bad one really sticks out.

  17. That was simply one of the best games I have seen pitched...in at least a week anyway.....man he was brilliant, cemented his HOF career with beating HOFamer AP.
  18. I'm standing outside my wife's Chase branch waiting for her and I am sure passersby are wondering why I am laughing out loud.
  19. Good work guys, especially Wolf. The stare from beneath the cap coupled with him being a member of the core four gets him in....... Sc = alot
  20. @SI_JonHeymanfolks love dana brown. a class guy. But he's a minaya disciple. So what chance does he have to get mets job? Omar had disciples?
  21. Dana Brown...a guy by all accounts will interview for the GM the Mets announce....heyman calls him a guru of scouting...WTF? I googled him and got this.....looks like a guru to me
  22. Excellent , I have observed the same problem in my local Old Navy (Bronx) when trying to get my son a Mets shirt.
  23. Oh what bullshit.....all of it...and WTF does this mean? But Jackson also believes there should be a second Hall of Fame for the real Hall of Famers. In other words, he believes there are too many ballplayers enshrined in Cooperstown, men who were too mortal on the playing field to be sculpted into bronze baseball gods. and beating Lee tonight would not serve as a tie-breaker down the line.....fuck sake man, he's not pitched bigger games in the past?.....oh and the needles, let's not forget those....

  25. There was a time when Tim used to be really good IMO, I guess like the Mets he's just not that good anymore.....
