  2. It would be a desperate team to take him on with his fastball in the low to mid 80's.

But really, unless something unexpected happens (like a high number of spring injuries to the pitching staff) Ollie is really auditioning for his next job, the major-league minimum contract he'll get from whoever picks him up after he's released. Yeah this , the Snooze has him all but released in a Madden article http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/baseball/mets/2011/03/04/2011-03-04_ollie_perez_delays_anticipated_release_but_likely_out_of_chances_while_krods_pla.html

  10. Is he floating around these days?
  11. who is Jonathan Weissman? very cool to read online stuff from way back in 1997.
  12. There was plenty written about the Rangers getting a sub from MLB last year , if this were the MFY's it would be a bigger story probably and Mike Lupica would have a column every day about it , and all of them would start like this " This was back when the Boss roamed the hallways at the old Yankee Stadium at E 161st Street & River Avenue ........."
  13. Yeah nice story but the Mets PR department for years has come across as a bit of a joke , there is probably not a player that has ever worn the jersey that has bad things to say about the guy.

Does he drive a Lamborghini?, it's a good indicator for how hard he can throw.

Is this one of those other options? or is it in addition to? I'm guessing no, this wouldn't negate that. metirish wrote: It's quite possible that the Mets will not meet various payroll obligations without this loan, NT a good working environment for any of the employees. If they secure this loan then how long before they need another? Mr Wilpon, Mr Katz and son of Fred please go, for the sake of the club go. But I wouldn't go that far, either. I have no idea. I give up. The players are doing stuff down there, so I'm done with this storyline until we have something conclusive about the owners, whoever they are, ability to bring in an expensive piece at the deadline, and retain/sign players in the offseason. how many times are you going to say you are done with this before you stop commenting on it?

  19. I dunno , I'd want a proper yard for that money......fucking twat Jeter.
  20. I was conflating him with Jim Diamond because I was certain I Should Have Known Better was his song.
  21. How satisfied were you when you got to El Fin? this is key, I rememberer being scared shitless when I saw it as a kid. 4 for me
  22. Fair fucks to him.... "I want to play right," Beltran said. "I think its best for the team. Its going to be best for me also, best for my knee."

It was a night of hosts and presenters constantly upstaging one another. It was so bad it's hard to imagine it been worse. A few bright spots, David Seidler's acceptance speech was the highlight for me, the kid that won for the short? and thanked his Mom who did the catering on the set, Christian Bale calling out Micky Ward and his brother Dickey, that was about it.
  24. I hope you had some money on with Paddy Power , seriously , I imagine the the odds of picking all of them would be damn good.
  25. You should open a thread in the members promotion forum.
