  1. Time to bury them right now
  2. I despise the MFY's and actively root against them , if I see one more douchebag in da Bronx wearing the 27 patch jacket ...ugh....I am rooting for the Brewers to win....but really as long as the MFY don't I am happy.
  3. When all is said and done i likely won'r remember Frazier on the Mets for anything remarkable, I have never warmed to him at all.
  4. Bruce with a very good defensive play at first base
  5. So, last night I tuned into YES to watch some of this, when I first tuned in the MFY were winning, then tuned back later they were getting hammered. Kay, Cone and O'Neill in the booth....have to say Kay was quite good , especially in questioning Boone's moves....he was let down by Cone and O'Neill who never jumped in when he brought up these "questions" Boone would need to answer after the game.
  6. #Metstwitter is livid( it's always livid) that the bench, coaches etc. were laughing when Reyes was pitching...were they?, I really don't know what else they are supposed to do . I do recall when Desi Relaford pitched in 2001 there was some mild controversy after the game about some members of the team were laughing.
  7. I tuned out as Matz was getting pounded, still, never expect to see this scoreline....I didn't bother turning over when I saw Reyes was pitching , .
  8. Wheeler has looked great , like what we were all hoping for. I would like him to stay.
  9. If nothing else this has made for a great thread comrades.
  10. I think many generations of the Wilpon family will own the Mets, unfortunately .
  11. Well, this sucks, we have seen the last of his best I would think...
  12. Centerfield wrote: First of all, no one is killing Cespedes for speaking. I'm doing just the opposite. I'm giving him tons of credit for going against these dickheads and going public with the heel spurs. Let's go back to that Sandy Alderson press conference a few months back. The one where he shakes his head and wonders why he isn't already back. BECAUSE HE HAS DEBILITATING HEEL SPURS IN BOTH HIS FEET THAT ARE LIKELY GOING TO NEED MAJOR SURGERY. THAT'S WHY. What a fucking dickhead. They told their star player to suck it up and play through pain, don't mention any of this to the media, then went and trashed him to the press and questioned his integrity. I guarantee you they were shocked when Ces went public. That 24 hour gag order wasn't because Ricco had another event. It's because they had no idea what to say. So they sent Callaway out there to pretend he didn't know anything. The poor guy. It's like they see he's toast, so they don't mind making him look like an idiot. So they regrouped, then came up with this bullshit story. It doesn't hold water. Anyone willing to look can see this. I have not thought about it like this...damn, wow
  13. These segments with Rodriguez are shite , it's all about him, look what I noticed about you yyybbb
  14. If this gets going it will be late , a lot of heavy rain here right now
  15. Absolutely milling rain here in the Bronx right now
  16. Keith Law If the New York Mets are just going to trade their most valuable major league assets for salary relief, rather than to try to improve the club, then it's time for MLB to step in and force the Wilpons to sell the team, just as the league did with Frank McCourt and the Dodgers. Trading Jeurys Familia for two fringe-at-best prospects is not how any team, regardless of payroll level, should operate in this environment. For a franchise that operates in the largest market in the league to do this -- and do so ten days before the trade deadline rather than waiting for someone to offer a legitimate return -- is embarrassing for the Mets and for Major League Baseball as a whole.
  17. You couldn't make this stuff up.
  18. Optioned back to LV , he will be joined by Oswalt....Drew Smith going the other way Is Dom Smith any good?, I have no idea but he looked awful this time around, course he was on the bench for a lot of that...
  19. I recall we had a great thread from that sale back then
  20. I went with Peterson ,don't ask me why
  21. Let's see if Ces can stay on the field , not really looking forward to this series
  22. I would not at all be happy with the DH in the NL....very little distinguishes the NL form the AL now anyway but ...I know I saw Manford on TV a while back saying no DH in the NL.....let's see
  23. So, can MLB punish him for this ? will they?
  24. I didn't see one bit of the Home Run Derby and briefly tuned into the ASG, I just couldn't watch Buck fellating the mic'd up players
