  2. Seo: is an internet cafe a possibility? I think the time difference would translate to being something like 2:00 in the morning in Europe, so I don't know if places are open that late. Otherwise, Seo can assign a trusted vice-GM to draft for him here in the states or he can pick over the waiver-wire. None of these are ideal...but, Europe, baby!
  3. Yeah...lots of cuts this off-season. The draft could be long if nothing else.
  4. 19th works for me.
  5. A Boy Named Seo wrote: I see updates for a trade block update... Miracle Monks's trade block has been updated! Miracle Monks on January 21, 2014 11:31 AM But, like, how do you view them? For what it's worth, the update of my trading block was removing guys I had on the block (since mid-summer) after I cut them. So, really nothing to see.
  6. I caught this yesterday. The shots and soundtrack are great (as one would come to expect from Scorsese). The acting performances are top-notch all around as well...one of my faves from DiCaprio in his career. This flick is not as deep as some Scorsese films and does have a little more farce, but I found the whole thing to be entertaining even given it's length. I'd be OK with not seeing Leo in a Scorsese film for a while, though. They are cultivating a Depp/Burton relationship that could keep things from staying fresh.
  7. On your team's homepage, there should be a link:
  8. Agreed with Willets. Those outside the Bronx don't need the games to be any longer than they already are.
  9. My opinion is that they should (for both football and baseball) have an official in a booth watching via a screen who can signal to the head ump that a mistake has been made. The challenge parade is a gimmick. If they are truly for making the game more fair through technology, then they should just admit it every time the umps goof rather than making it have to be called out.
  10. Yuck. http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/10305223/mlb-owners-ok-expanded-replay-2014 Owners approve expanded replay By Jayson Stark | ESPN.com PARADISE VALLEY, Ariz. -- Baseball's replay age has finally dawned, thanks to Thursday's unanimous approval by owners of what commissioner Bud Selig called a "historic" expansion of replay to correct missed calls. The new system, which will go into effect this season, will give managers most of the power to trigger reviews, by providing them with one challenge per game, along with a second potential challenge if their first is upheld. Only after a manager has used up all of his challenges, and only from the seventh inning on, would umpires be authorized to initiate a review on their own. ... In addition to home runs, expanded replay was unanimously approved by MLB owners for the following plays: Ground-rule double Fan interference Stadium boundary calls Force play* Tag play Fair/foul in outfield only Trap play in outfield only Batter hit by pitch Timing play Touching a base (requires appeal) Passing runners Record keeping *Except fielder's touching of second on double play
  11. Cripes! That's horrible.
  12. Texas Rangers draft Russell Wilson Yes, THAT Russell Wilson.
  13. I don't like it. One year I would have been OK with...I'm hoping that second year doesn't bite the Mets in the ass. Rubin's piece for ESPN yesterday starts out: The Mets needed someone to offset the loss of Matt Harvey for the 2014 season. Maybe he'll surprise me.
  14. Kemp. Have you ever looked into his eyes? It was like the first time I heard the Beatles.
  15. Per Rubin: Colon went 18-6 with a 2.65 ERA in 30 starts for the Oakland Athletics last season. I had no idea that he did that. Still, depending on pitchers over 40 to produce similar results again is tough to do.
  16. I'm guessing moving Aoki keeps Braun in Milwaukee...though it may involve a move to right field for him.
  17. I'm not sure I understand either question...but I'm guessing Shawon Dunston off the top of my head for either one (likely #2).
  18. Looking at the stats in the OP, I think it shows that we could do far worse than Muffy. Especially with limited funds and other spots to fill.
