  2. WOW...welcome to the 2009 Mets. I can't remember the last time the bullpen would have held onto a one run lead for 3.1 innings. Offense put up some hits, but needs to score more runs. Still...happy, happy, happy!
  3. Weak 8th by the O. Hey, JJ. What you been doing?
  4. Well, nothing not to like about Green. 4 up 4 down...the last 3 on groundouts.

  6. A Boy Named Seo wrote: OK, get some freaking runs NOW!!!! Yes, please. 3 innings left to the bullpen with a one run lead still scares me.
  7. ="Zvon"]="TransMonk"]Wheels...falling...off...mayday...mayday. That's okay. They can still fly. They just can't land. The Flyin' Seann saves the day.

  9. Cheese 'n' rice! I guess 2 runs is better than 1. Looks like we may just get to see how good our new bullpen is today.
  10. Sacks juiced again. C'mon, Carlos.
  11. Castillo: Doubles machine.
  12. KABOOM!!! Murphy is the bomb!
  13. 3 hits, 3 walks and an error yet no runs after 4 innings. Grrr.
  14. Looks like today Church came to say, "F-you, Gary Sheffield. I'm the rightfielder for the New York Mets."
  15. ="John Cougar Lunchbucket"]Live updates: 12. First Met player to field a batted ball in fair territory BELTRAN Gary made a point to mention that this was the first batted ball hit into fair territory by the Reds...is he lurking and trying to help out with the scoring?
  16. The new in-game graphics are a bit cookie cutter for my taste. I had no problem with the old ones.

  18. I like it. Cheap, proven and seems to know his role (for now). I was gone for the weekend and saw the signing on a TV crawl yesterday. I originally groaned, but with him getting the league minimum, why not? As far as dividing the playing time, I say the more options the better. Jerry seems to know how to play the hot hand.

  21. The similarities between the huge Pepsi "P" and the Phillies "P" is a bit disturbing.
  22. I'll take the 2 Milwaukee series.
  23. 6 wins in their last 7 games with the lone loss coming in Pelfrey's rain shortened outing. Opponents only scoring 2.86 runs per game on average over those 7 games even though opposing lineups have been theoretically getting better over that stretch. Looking pretty good as they prepare for real battles. OE: April's schedule is filled with teams we should beat up on IMO. I would love to see a fast start before we start dealing with Philly and Atlanta in May.
