I'd like to know how old they both were when this happened and also, his state of mind: that is, how old did he honestly think she was at the time. Of course, if the laws in the DR are like those in the USA, then none of that will matter legally if she was a minor when this supposedly happened. Consent is not a defense to sex with a minor because the relevant statutes typically hold that a minor is legally unable to consent to sex.

That Kolb Mets card is from TCMA's 1978 set -- "The 1960s", consisting mostly, I think, of fringy or part-time players. The set design is about as plain as could be -- just a player photo inside of a plain rectangular frame -- no graphics or front text. Kolb never appeared on a Topps card as a Met, having been traded to the Mets in the middle of the '65 season, too late for Topps to print up a Kolb '65 Mets card. Kolb didn't appear in Topps' '66 set because, as I already mentioned, he was too much of a fringy player. In fact, as it would turn out, he didn't play a single game in the majors in 1966. Or 1967. The 1970 style card (below) is a custom card that I found on the web. Our interloper is Lloyd McClendon, who played for, and then went on to manage the Pirates. McCLendon was signed by the Mets, but then dealt to the Reds before he ever reached the majors as part of the trade that returned Tom Seaver to the franchise for the 1983 season. https://img.comc.com/i/Baseball/2004/Topps---Base/289/Lloyd-McClendon.jpg?id=1882d11f-1557-4094-b449-d4f60115fef3&size=original> Thank you for not playing.

I don't think the Mets wore their unis for the parade. Wives traveled with the team during the post-season.

I can only play IG on my PC. The game is always unplayable on my smartphone. Anyone else have this issue?

=batmagadanleadoff post_id=135011 time=1692126807 user_id=68] What do you mean by reversing the trade? How would the teams justify that, even if they were both willing? The post trade deadline maneuver sounds like a brand new trade. But what if both teams, when they first made the trade, were each to receive PTBNLs? And as it turns out, the future PTBNLs are the same original players in the trade? Like a double Chiti.

I don't know any of the actual facts but what if he sincerely and in good faith believed that she was over the age limit of consent? I think that would excuse him, at least morally, though not legally if she was a minor. He's 22, not 52.
