    I'm defending my last year's contest win with: 1. What will the Mets' record be? 79-83 2. Predict the NL East standings from 1 to 5: Phil., Atl., Mia., NY, Wash. 3.     Ugh On both moves. If Martinez is in the minors, who will be the DH until Martinez returns? I would never put "Short" and "hitter" in the same sentence, much less with designated in front of hitter. So it will have to be someone else. Later

    From SNY: March 23, 9:30 p.m. With final roster decisions looming, the Mets made a flurry of moves prior to Saturday's spring training game. After an up-and-down spring showing, right-hander Shintaro Fujinami has been optioned to minor league camp, Mets manager Carlos Mendoza announced. Austin Adams was also reassigned to minor league camp after he pitched to a 6.75 ERA across six spring appearances. Righty Phil Bickford was designated for assignment to make room on the roster with the one-year deal with J.D. Martinez becoming official on Saturday morning. Additionally, Mendoza said the team has told C Tomas Nido, INF Jose Iglesias, and 1B/DH Luke Voit that they have not cracked the big-league roster. Later

    HAs anyone reported if the bets were on baseball, or other sports? If not baseball - I wouldn't be angry at a one year suspension. If baseball, Ohtani's involvement in paying off his pal's debt, I think that makes him liable for a suspension longer than that. Then, there is the possibility that MLB seems to not be investigating, that Ohtani is the real gambler and the translator took one for the team. In any event, the guy must have been good at translating the spoken word, but couldn't translate the written words about" No Betting" that are posted in every clubhouse. Later
