  1. Also, Clerks II will only have Dante, Randall, Jay and Bob in terms of that Viewaskewniverse. There will be cameos by Jason Lee, Ethan Suplee, and other actors from the different films, but no other character. Funny thing about that, Lee in Clerks II looks like he walked off the set of My Name Is Earl leading speculation on the board that I saw the trailer linked to that Lee was in fact portraying his TV show character, Earl Hickey! He's not, but it would be quite a Smith way of doing things.

Not was, IS GOING to be a Clerks II, coming out sometime this year, don't know the release date yet That would explain why I've never heard of it. Kevin Smith must be desperate. Hey now! Actually its a bit self-aggrandizing and a bit cathartic for Smith, during the process of revisiting Clerks for the Clerks X project couple of years ago (thats the 10th anniversary double disc set) that he felt he HAD to do this sequel. Well that and there has been alot of pressure over the years from fans to do a "right" followup for Dante and Randall (all other Smith films have neat and tidy endings except Clerks) And the fact that he is an admitted Publicity Whore!

  4. How about the regular voice actors in all Muppet Movies, Jim Henson, Frank Oz, ect, ect, ect al... Not sure if with the exception of II, III and IV you can count the Star Trek films as sequels, but you can't count the TNG movies as sequels so thats Patrick Stewart Generations, First Contact, Insurrection, Nemesis Jonathan Frakes Generations, First Contact, Insurrection, Nemesis Brent Spiner Generations, First Contact, Insurrection, Nemesis LeVar Burton Generations, First Contact, Insurrection, Nemesis Michael Dorn Generations, First Contact, Insurrection, Nemesis Gates McFadden Generations, First Contact, Insurrection, Nemesis Marina Sirtis Generations, First Contact, Insurrection, Nemesis And one of Dr. Crusher's assistants from the show was in at least Generations and First Contact
  5. Kevin Smith's Viewaskewniverse films technically aren't considered sequels with the exceptions of Clerks I and II Jason Mews and Kevin Smith as "Jay & Silent Bob" Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back Jason Lee as Banky & Brodie Mallrats & Chasing Amy & Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back Ben Affleck as Holden Chasing Amy & Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back ect, ect, ect... (virtually all cameos in Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back)
  6. RealityChuck wrote: John Cazale, actually. For something harder, name at least five actors who reprised roles in films that were not sequels of the first film. Jimmy Cagney as "George M. Cohan" Yankee Doodle Dandy & Seven Little Foys ...I may or may not be back with others
  7. soupcan wrote: No its not a movie its an actual trivia question. Name the actor who has acted in only 5 feature films, but all 5 of those films have been at least nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture. I'll give hints if asked. Go. James Cazale GodFather, GodFather II, Deer Hunter, Dog Day Afternoon... Other two don't know
  8. Yeah, no way is that Shea, the back of the dugouts were never that blue and if that is the wall, its a bit too short. Its Busch
  9. I was a a Mothers Day party at my sister's place, I bring my 6 month year old nephew over to the TV to watch a little ball. JUST at the moment Hall cracks the game winner! A moment later I hear a cry from my little guy, and I say "Well, must be a Met fan!"
  10. Someone put up a running talley of who has been swinging the bat? Curiously I don't see ARod using it, granted it was the bot of 7th
  11. Edgy DC wrote: Converse, also. Probably sold more than a few of those dumb posters, though. I did a google image search and came up empty on Easler "Hit Man" product images BTW! A bunch featuring Mattingly's sig (forged or not who knows) with "Hit Man" underneath Funny because I always associate "Donnie Baseball" with Mattingly more, has a nice "Donnie Brasco" and "Teddy Ballgame" combo. Although it was way too corny when a host of a talk radio show used that nickname to call Don LaGreca of 1050 ESPN Radio "Donnie Hockey" and was told by Don himself to go with "Donnie Pucks" if he wanted to call LaGreca anything! Tom Keegan when talking to LaGreca previewing a Devil playoff series, it was clear LaGreca wanted no part of a nickname and Keegan's partner Wally Mathews suggested "Donnie Pucks" instead!
  12. Plus in the poster he's not even sporting his familar mustache and stubble! And upon further review, no "The" on his nickname, ditto with Mike Easler! Although his wikipedia entry does say "The Hitman" but then again with Wiki entries being whatever someone types they are bound to have scores of un checked facts!
  13. I do prefer Donnie Baseball, especially since it was ripped off of Easler
  14. Heh, true, habit I guess, Mike Easler and Don Mattingly were others that I know off hand with that nickname and usually they had "The" before "Hit Man" Or at least Donnie Baseball's usage only comes from a Nike poster...
  15. And its Mommies Day so, Happy Mothers Day!

  22. ="Yancy Street Gang"]The acronym MLB is fairly new. When I was a kid I never saw it, not like you always did (and do) with NFL, NBA, and NHL. It was just "major league baseball." I don't know when that term came about, though. The term "Major League" does go back to the "Olden Days" back in the 1870's. I'm going to guess "Major League Baseball" as a corporate term defining the entiy that incorporates the American and National Leagues of Baseball Clubs probably came with the forming of the Commissioner's office back in 1920. Not sure how it came to be that Ban Johnson was able to certify his American League as a true "Major" rather than the minor independent league it was prior to 1901 (IIRC it was the Western League had teams in Chicago, Detroit, Milwaukee, and other mid-western towns) I'll have to dig out my trusty 19th century baseball book (David Nemec a few years back, I believe the title is 19th Century Baseball Encylopedia) for verification
  23. I really have no idea what me or my other handle will be doing this weekend. Friday I'll be in enemy territory rooting for the A's, Saturday its a class all afternoon! and Sunday is Mommy day See you in St. Louie, Louie! Why am I talking when I don't read what people are talking about? RMPL!
  24. ="metsmarathon"]i'll bet mike piazza alreday has one... great idea, too. pink can be a manly color too. One of the greatest pro-wrestlers of all time made pink his trademark... Then again, maybe rolling around with another sweaty oiled up guy in a pre-determined exhibition isn't exactly "manly" in the first place! Anyway, here is Bret "The Hit Man" Hart
