  1. “You struck out more times than the 1962 Mets.” —Carol to Jerry, The Bob Newhart Show, “Carol Ankles for Indie-Prod,” S 6 E 20, March 4, 1978
  2. Well, shoot, if nobody wants it, the 1962-65 first reliever guy is Bob Moorhead.
  3. The future rock of the franchise, Amed Rosario, is just another pebble on this latest cutdown day. Joining him in the big pond of options and reassignments are Wuilmer Becerra, Chris Flexen, Marcos Molina, Chase Bradford and Adam Wilk. Good on ya, fellas, maybe see one of you before long.
  4. The first reliever in Mets history (an excellent hint) was also the first player to make his MLB debut as a Met...which I wrote about here. http://www.faithandfearinflushing.com/2015/05/13/360-degrees-of-bob-moorhead/ So click for the answer and a point.
  5. 4. Pat Misch
  6. 2. Dave Telgheder
  7. 12 Carlos Torres
  8. 8 Andy Hassler
  9. 7 Ken Henderson
  10. 10 Later Sandy Alomar
  11. 4 Sandy Alomar
  12. 6 Billy Baldwin
  13. 5 Rick Baldwin
  14. 9. Greg Harris
  15. 11. Lovable Shaun Marcum
  16. While certain players are still distasteful based on ongoing associations (i.e. Molina, every 2015 Royal), I like that I don't have anything against any of these temporary teams. Even the opponents of those I'm rooting for seem admirable in the WBC context. It helps to have Jeter uninvolved.
  17. Team Israel is real. Ty, Ike and the gang took it to Cuba, 4-1.
  18. First batch of those told to redirect their talents to the minor league portion of Port St. Lucie: P.J. Conlon, Kevin McGowan, David Roseboom, Corey Taylor, Logan Taylor, Phillip Evans, Luis Guillorme, Dom Smith and Champ Stuart.
  19. 3. Matt Watson

I had no idea this had a standings element when I answered the first question that was hanging around a couple of weeks ago. The important thing is we're getting closer to April 3.
  21. The 2005 outlier: Brian Daubach?
  22. Hats off to whoever gets No. 3.
  23. 5. Rick Ownbey
  24. 8. Well traveled Octavio Dotel
  25. The 2005 guy from Thursday -- it says he made it to Shea in 1995, which would mean he's not from 2005...unless there's something extra interesting about him (like he played soccer there a decade before debuting as a Met).
