  2. I imagine Conforto could be the other 2019 guy?
  3. Ike Davis, T18?
  4. Carlos Beltran, 17 OE: Excuse me, Beltrán.
  5. Edgardo Alfonzo, 4

I'm with Edge and also working on this; except when I'm busy 'snarly-ly defecating' on posters and friends. And taking cheap shots by people who are hours later getting handshakes. Whatever. Same shit, different decade...
  7. I'd be ok with A-rod buying the Mets. Would actually be a quite hilarious turn of events from decades later. He could have merchandise tents. Last time I call him A-rod, I only do that once every decade.

The illegal part is the installation of an electronic spy system which gives the home team a Yuge advantage over the road dudes in deciphering what the other side is planning. Of course, I was just saying, and I doubt the underlying stuff hasn't changed much. I would think the signage should be able to overcome the cheating. Hell, how hard would it be to change the indicator every pitch?
  9. Signage probably deserves it's own thread. I didn't play HS ball but I did pitch into the summer between 10-11th grade in an organized rec league. 1 was fastball, 2 was curve and 3 was off-speed or change-up. What changed inning to inning or several times a game was the 'indicator'. The in- dicator directly preceded the pitch to be thrown. For example, if the indicator was the catcher closing his mitt and threw down 1-2-1-closed mitt-2-1-3 he was calling for the curve. It wasn't rocket science. Same thing for the third base coach. If the steal sign was touching his shoulder and the indicator was fixing his cap and he grabbed his crotch fixed his cap touched his shoulder and the pulled his shorts out of his crack the steal was on.
  10. I took 'til death do us part (aka kill us now)...

  12. [bLOCKQUOTE]The Mets are one of the most fleabitten franchises in MLB.[/bLOCKQUOTE] This made me laugh, haven't heard the term flea-bitten in some time. Dang tarnation!
  13. =Ceetar post_id=31703 time=1581696931 user_id=102]This is just that smalltalk stuff I try to avoid.

  15. I think Mr. Gasparre kicked me out of some seats I tried to self-upgrade into at Shea more than once. RIP, Sir!!
  16. I ditched Beckett last year for good. Their prices for cards from the 60's 70's are often 50% more than what's being bought and sold on eBay (for example).
  17. Lol, sez the guy who banged Latvia. (or was it Croatia?)
  18. Maybe thecranepool can float a bond issue and see if we can nuzzle in there between Gabby and Dylan. I got $20 cranebucks doing nothing!
  19. =The beloved COO post_id=31432 time=1581384202 user_id=55]... we'll work hard to earn and maintain everyone's confidence and trust
  20. Baseball on hockey skates.
  21. My guess is in the end the whole shabang will go bundled up with a bow. For the right, over-inflated price.
  22. I also doubt SNY is a gold mine. They run infomercials in the morning.
  23. Just my opinion, but there's no way the Wilpons are losing $50 million a year on the Mets. Maybe on one set of books, but no way on the most accurate set.
  24. =kcmets post_id=31386 time=1581352573 user_id=53]Offer $2,650,000 and un-dead things.
