  5. My contacts tell me that this issue has been resolved.
  6. Edgy MD wrote: But more than that, I'm asking Terry stop living in fear and put Tejada at short and Flores at third. I know, right? Why don't they take this one step further and put Duda in center and Lagares at first?
  7. Hopefully the idiots who run that site will see this message and react to it. Idiots though they may be, I'm sure they would appreciate your pointing this out.
  8. I voted this, mainly because that seems to be the trend this season: He is disabled with an heretofore unknown injury.
  9. Mets Guy in Michigan wrote: Best case scenario for Parnell is that there is a long recovery from TJ surgery. But what does that project for Wheeler for next season? Should be not expect him until the All-Star break? The current estimate is June 2016, so the All-Star break is certainly a possibility.

  12. Or next week!

  14. SCHAEFER METS PLAYERS OF THE WEEK, 2015 Week ending April 11, 2015: Travis d'Arnaud, 4.86 points. Week ending April 18, 2015: Lucas Duda, 8.80 points. Week ending April 25, 2015: Matt Harvey, 6.45 points. Week ending May 2, 2015: Daniel Murphy, 8.63 points. Week ending May 9, 2015: Bartolo Colon, 4.92 points. Week ending May 16, 2015: Wilmer Flores, 6.25 points. Week ending May 23, 2015: Noah Syndergaard, 5.95 points. Seven weeks, seven different players of the week.
  15. The argument for keeping Gee as part of the six-man rotation, I think, is that if he does well he has more trade value than he would if he was doing occasional long relief. If he does in fact get traded, then they can go back to a five-man, or replace him with Matz in the six-man. (This all assumes, of course, that no one drops from the rotation due to injury or ineffectiveness.)

That's part of the idea. They want Harvey and deGrom to start fewer games over the next couple of months so that they're more fresh for the last stage of the pennant race and the playoffs. The potential downside is that the fewer starts from the better pitchers might leave the Mets less well positioned for the final stretch.

  18. True, but each pitcher will be getting more rest and pitching fewer innings.
  19. If you count all three of the Mets homes (and not the one "home game" they played in the Tokyo Dome) the Mets are, overall, 2166 and 2079 with 5 ties at home. Polo Grounds: 56-105-0 .348 Shea Stadium: 1859-1713-5 .520 Citi Field: 251-261-0 .490
  20. I think this is an early glimpse of the future of baseball. I predict that before the 2020's are done, most if not all teams will have a six-man rotation.
  21. Dan Warthen was quoted in the Daily News as saying that he expects it to last until August, but that seems really unlikely to me.
