Guest Mets Willets Point Guests Posted October 21, 2017 Posted October 21, 2017 I’ve gotten used to everything going the Yankees way so that was ... unexpected.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2017 Author Posted October 21, 2017 Now we'll see if the Astros bullpen can get through 2 innings. They haven't been able to yet.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2017 Author Posted October 21, 2017 The culprit is: Mr. Peacock, with the BP fastball, in Minute Maid Park

Guest Mets Willets Point Guests Posted October 21, 2017 Posted October 21, 2017 3 more outs to extend the series.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2017 Author Posted October 21, 2017 Altuve gets the run right back!!

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2017 Author Posted October 21, 2017 I think Altuve should have said to Todd Frazier as he rounded 3rd: "Hey big boy, we can do cheap HRs here too"
Guest Mets Willets Point Guests Posted October 21, 2017 Posted October 21, 2017 Altuve Insurance Agency.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2017 Author Posted October 21, 2017 So dropping relay throws that turn sure outs into runs appears to be Gary Sanchez's go-to move.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted October 21, 2017 Posted October 21, 2017 Nothing like a good unraveling.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted October 21, 2017 Posted October 21, 2017 Think Verlander is available for tomorrow?
Guest Mets Willets Point Guests Posted October 21, 2017 Posted October 21, 2017 Think this offense will be back tomorrow?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2017 Author Posted October 21, 2017 He's using Giles?!?Your closer with a six run lead?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2017 Author Posted October 21, 2017 Already more than an average inning's worth of pitches from Giles and he still only has one out.

Guest Mets Willets Point Guests Posted October 21, 2017 Posted October 21, 2017 Do it again tomorrow, Houston.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted October 21, 2017 Posted October 21, 2017 That's OK, Yankees. Why don't you head out to Cooter's to unwind before calling it a night?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2017 Author Posted October 21, 2017 Game 7 - 8:00, FS1 - Sabathia vs Charlie MortonThat was the same matchup as in Game 3, one which didn't go well for the boys from Texas with Morton getting pulled in the 4thTo be fair to Morton though, he wasn't all THAT bad. He got dinged in the 2nd by that 235 ft Todd Frazier HR and then when his relief corps was called in to get him out of 2-out trouble in the 4th, he(Will Harris) instead allowed 4 runs in his first 4 pitches (Wild Pitch + 3R HR) to effectively end the game. What would be real nice would be if Sabathia were to turn back into the 330 lb frog we all know is lurking inside him somewhere rather than this version of him who's suddenly having, at age 37, his bestseason in six years and has allowed just 3 runs in 16 post-season innings.Maybe the Astros should just bunt a lot. I mean, sure, Sabathia and the Yanx will file a formal complaint with the commissioner charging Houston under the anti-fat shaming act, but it'll be worth it in thelong run.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted October 21, 2017 Posted October 21, 2017 Brian McCann's head would explode amid the cognitive dissonance of breaking those unwritten rules, so win-win-win
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted October 21, 2017 Posted October 21, 2017 That's bunt talk.Sweet, beautiful bunt talk.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2017 Author Posted October 21, 2017 Do us a solid BB Gods, you fucked up our summer so how 'bout throwing us a decent autumn. Just this one game, that's all I ask.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 This isn't for OUR Autumn. This is an Eternal struggle, for all mankind. BTW- who's Bruce?Later
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 I'm following through GameDay. Is Verlander available out of the pen tonight?
