You're Sandy Alderson, and for the first time in over four months, you're feeling kind of good about being Sandy Alderson. Well, there was a few moments after the AJ Ramos deal you felt OK, but that was just OK.

But your team has seemingly cut a deal to acquired the Syracuse International League franchise, putting to bed a problem of trading one bad affiliate for another that's been going on since before your arrival. You're getting some good ink. Jeff F. Wilpon is getting some good ink, and you're feeling like you can come out in the daytime a little.

You're feeling so good that you're ready to have at that list. One hundred and seventy-four names! Now expanded to 175 with the addition of John Farrell.
And you just go at it. Hacking and slashing, with the advice of the Crane Pool, and you get the list down to a more manageable 40 guys.
