Other than that small beef, it's wonderful!
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted May 19, 2018 Posted May 19, 2018 I bought the ebook version for my nook while at Barnes and Noble last week. Read it while relaxing on the beach the past two days. I learned a lot about the early years of professional baseball. I found it interesting that with the numerous professional leagues competing for players to fill their team rosters and the financial instability of many of the teams, the players had a surprising amount of freedom to negotiate for the best deal they could get (though no contracts were guaranteed).Congratulations Jon, on a job well done. I never cease to be amazed by the amount of talent that exists on our little corner of the web.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted May 19, 2018 Posted May 19, 2018 Thanks again guys! I'm flirting with a real publicist, who will probably cost more than I was paid.btw, if you read it please leave a review on goodreads or the Amazon page. I'm told that's important! Thanks again, do not feel obligated to sugarcoat it!
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted May 19, 2018 Posted May 19, 2018 I will post a review and recommendation on Barnes and Noble site and Goodreads when I get back home from vacation.

bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2018 Posted August 9, 2018 That's the author with another fine author in The Quaz: http://www.jeffpearlman.com/jon-springer/Worth it for many reasons but I especially enjoyed the "Rock and Roll Dickheads" line.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 Good Quicksteps listening on Good Seats Still Available, a podcast devoted to teams and leagues that forgot to continue existing.
