I ordered mine! Looking forward to the part where we learn who wore which uniform number. I like books like that.

My copy came this week. A little disappointed, only because it appears these guys never even wore numbers. Who is the freaking Jeff McKnight of this group? Other than that small beef, it's wonderful!

I bought the ebook version for my nook while at Barnes and Noble last week. Read it while relaxing on the beach the past two days. I learned a lot about the early years of professional baseball. I found it interesting that with the numerous professional leagues competing for players to fill their team rosters and the financial instability of many of the teams, the players had a surprising amount of freedom to negotiate for the best deal they could get (though no contracts were guaranteed).

Congratulations Jon, on a job well done. I never cease to be amazed by the amount of talent that exists on our little corner of the web.

Thanks again guys! I'm flirting with a real publicist, who will probably cost more than I was paid.

btw, if you read it please leave a review on goodreads or the Amazon page. I'm told that's important! Thanks again, do not feel obligated to sugarcoat it!

I have had my copy on my coffee table for a few weeks until I got through all the lesser books I was reading.

Started it this morning...loving it so far.

Wilmington, history and baseball...of course I'm loving it :D
