G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 Jacob deGrom blocks out the Sunday afternoon home woes. Adam Conley shouldn't look directly at No. 48 without protective eyewear.

ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 That does kinda look like what to expect next year, with healthy starters and a legit bullpen. (Sandy, spend some saved money on the bullpen.)
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 How did I miss the Marlins signing Shane McGowan as a starting pitcher?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 Both Miami runs have been produced by Gordon's wheels.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 First two guys on in the fourth. Let's make hay.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 Hey, babyMets! Let's reward deGrom in the middle innings the way you rewarded your boy Montero yesterday.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 Conley strikes out the side on 10 pitches.#scuffer
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 Gordon's legs may be about to buy the Fish their third run.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 Hey, Céspedes, the offseason starts in two months. We've got paying customers here.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 6-1 halfway through seven... time to stretch. Watch youtube, it's better thanthe dreck that's on SNY this afternoon. Cy Conley 2-hitter and like ten K's. [youtube:31p3z919]m648v4s5sFc[/youtube:31p3z919]
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 Ichiro on to PH. Oh, and fuck you!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 Hey, Yellich, it's centerfield. There's no side wall, and you don't have to slide.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 Kyle Barraclough has done great in his career vs. the Mets, but he walks a lot of folks. Just keep it going, Mets.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 Tying run at the plate. LGM, let's make up for all that shit playing you did earlier.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 On to the last licks, let's get some base runners and salvage this debacle!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 Bring on the ninth-inning thunder.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 Dominic seems to have a bunch (relatively speaking) of quick -- three or four pitch -- almost 'no contest' strikeouts so far in his ML stint.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 Cabrera I-GIDP to end the ball game.

Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 It's not the errors, so much. It's that they were all mental, not mechanical. That makes them frustrating. But it also means they're less likely-- in theory-- to pop up when games "matter." (Still, the kid probably should be read the riot act. By Reyes?)
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 The thing is that Gordon is probably the only guy in the league who is going to beat that out. It shouldn't be hard to keep a mental rolodex of one. Gordon is up, you cheat up a half step, you field the ball stepping forward, and you get rid of it with all the economy you can muster.
