Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted August 13, 2017 Posted August 13, 2017 2-1 Metsies after three on a first-inning ConfortoBOOM...
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 13, 2017 Posted August 13, 2017 I don't like Conforto in center and Nimmo on a corner.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 13, 2017 Posted August 13, 2017 Flexie pitching like an adult here. If not particularly effective, he's getting the job done.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2017 Posted August 13, 2017 Questions:Is this game being played in slow motion? Why do we care if Hoskins gets his first major league hit? SNY is covering this like he's a Met.Not that it really matters but if the Walker deal was decided upon at around 6 PM last night, why isn't McGowan with the team by now?

Twelve of the 15 games played yesterday were over three hours, eight of them came in north of 3:10, so what was once a rarity is now the norm.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 13, 2017 Posted August 13, 2017 What a lovely cheap double play with the bases loaded.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2017 Posted August 13, 2017 Herrera does his best to move the game along.

Then came a Sac Fly to LF to cut the lead to one but the runner on 2nd decides to tag also and is thrown out at 3rd (for the rare SF-DP)One out later the Sox had lost by one.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2017 Posted August 13, 2017 Young Dom does have a nice ability to get bat on ball. He's making square contact nearly each time even if it's not always the hardest contact.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 13, 2017 Posted August 13, 2017 Come on. Let's do to Therrien what we did in game one.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2017 Posted August 13, 2017 Why does a game between two sorrt azz teams have to take so long.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 13, 2017 Posted August 13, 2017 I liked that hit by Cabrera. Rips a foul down the left-field line. Rips a foul down the right-field line. Then he drives one off the pitcher.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2017 Posted August 13, 2017 Kevin McGowan, welcome to the Mets!Big guy 6'5 233 lbs.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2017 Posted August 13, 2017 #61 for those scoring at home (or even if you're alone)

G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2017 Posted August 13, 2017 Today's 6-2 win was the Mets' 100th regular-season 6-2 win in their 56-year history. Celebrate with a six-pack...and a couple of shots.
Guest cooby Guests Posted August 14, 2017 Posted August 14, 2017 That is kinda sad. Only 100 6-2 wins? But I know there are a lot of different score combos...
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted August 14, 2017 Posted August 14, 2017 If it earns us a six-pack AND two shots, how can it be sad?
