Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 25, 2017 Posted June 25, 2017 Giants do great promos, in contrast to the Mets. How embarrassing is it now that the Braves have joined those clubs completely kicking our promotional asses with the Freeze guy, while the best the Mets can do is junk the awful and derivative "car race" of last year for a similarly lame "car race" this year, the only difference being they pedal instead of run.

It shouldn't be that hard for a New York team to distinguish themselves.Meanwhile, Conforto comes out for Nimmo. Straight to the x-ray machine, young man!
Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2017 Author Posted June 25, 2017 Raffy shows some heart. Duda shows some brain.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 25, 2017 Posted June 25, 2017 I'd probably have given Monty the chance to finish the inning. But he walks off on a positive.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2017 Posted June 25, 2017 As soon as the Giants started their runners on those two pitches (first one fouled off) I was thinking Triple Play ... almost got it but Posey's "liner" was too soft.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2017 Posted June 25, 2017 Boy, everything is just going wrong for the Giants this year, huh?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2017 Posted June 25, 2017 Nice outing from Montero.I think he'll always nibble a bit too much but he has to to some extent and today he kept the walks to a reasonable level.Plus most of the hits were kinda soft and there were only one or two hard outs ( a couple of liners to Bruce come to mind).
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 25, 2017 Posted June 25, 2017 Span just isn't a starting centerfielder anymore. He's covering less ground than Granderson out there.

Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 25, 2017 Posted June 25, 2017 If I can deviate from pretending i want the Mets to lose for a second, it feels like we ought to be leading by about 9 or 10 by now.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2017 Posted June 25, 2017 Yup! They've left a lot of tack-on opportunities out there.Fortunately that never comes back to bite us.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted June 25, 2017 Posted June 25, 2017 Well, they've left like 18 men on base.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2017 Posted June 25, 2017 Another FB that Span failed to get to.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 25, 2017 Posted June 25, 2017 Very walky game by Nimmo. And he runs out his walks.Curious if he gets a start or two while Conforto heals.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 25, 2017 Posted June 25, 2017 Let's get some Chasen Bradford in there!
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 25, 2017 Posted June 25, 2017 Overusing the key relievers... again?NICE tank move, Terry! #backontrack

You have to use Blevins while up 6 runs because he didn't pitch yesterday and there's a day off tomorrow. His arm might fall off if he doesn't pitch 3 days in a row (even though he pitched Thursday and Friday and warmed up yesterday).Of course you use Chasen "Down The Wind" Bradford up 6 in the 8th. Guest 41Forever Guests Posted June 25, 2017 Posted June 25, 2017 Cabrera seems to struggle at second base, too.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 25, 2017 Posted June 25, 2017 See, no sunglasses and calling off the CF while going back awkwardly? Cabrera's a team player. Watch him, and MAYBE YOU'LL LEARN SOMETHING, RIVERA
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 25, 2017 Posted June 25, 2017 This is a rally of cheapie after cheapie.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 25, 2017 Posted June 25, 2017 BOOOOOOO1!1!!! Terrible AND fascist, Salas.
Guest 41Forever Guests Posted June 25, 2017 Posted June 25, 2017 (edited) Hey, Buster Olney. Tell your "sources" that we are buyers!* Except for Cabrera. We can still trade him. Edited June 25, 2017 by Guest
