Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 Well, the Mets can't stand prosperity. A single and a home run puts the Rangers back in front.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 So so far tonight we've had Neil Walker just miss making a play, Lucas Duda just miss making a play, and Jay Bruce just miss making a play.None were errors, nor should they have been, but it's three plays not made.Meanwhile, I'm not sure that deGrom has retired two batters in a row yet.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 Austin Bibens-Dirkx. Didn't they open for Florida-Georgia Line during their last tour?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 I haven't heard Darling be this bored and this boring in a long time. Like, maybe not since he worked for the Nats.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 Hi, my name is Austin Bibens-Dirkx and I'm about to get my clock cleaned!
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 What's that now, five ABs with a runner on 3rd and less two outs ... and they've produced, what, like 3 pop-ups, a K, and a GiDP?
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 I know he's got a HR and all but he's an iron glove out there at SS.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 Fuck Cabrera and his solo home run! He's killing us more than he's helping us.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 SB takes the GiDP out of play ... but we don't turn DPs anyway so I suppose it doesn't matter.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 DeGrom is broke. This team is broke.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 Isn't it good that we've got our best pitcher going tonight?
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 DeGrom has allowed 10 hits and 8 earned runs in 4 innings. The Rangers are hitting him like it's slow pitch softball. Granted the defense has a lot of "almost" plays. However all 4 just missed plays by the defense were on balls that were hit really hard. DeGrom isn't fooling many of the Rangers hitters.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 Game not over in this park, tough to see Jake stink again
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 2 pop-outs and a GiDP by d'Arnaud tonight -- all with runners on base.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 Why would defenders need pine tar all over their gloves? Why is it allowed?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 9 LOBsters tonight, courtesy of 1/9 w/RiSPDuda's 2-out single in the 1st was the only hit.But that's what happens when you face the other team's ace and their top pen guy .... oh wait.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 I had such a good song for the 7th-inning stretch... maybe tomorrow...
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 And we just replaced deGrom with the guy who has the highest HR-rate on the team.Yes, Smoker is even higher than Robles, 2.7 HRs/9btw, Robles in Las Vegas: 4 games, 4.1 innings, 6 runs (5 earned) on 9 hits, 4 BBs, 6 Ks
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 Sandy said recently the Mets will make a run. My two thoughts?1. Has re really looked at the pitching staff?2. Not with these 25 guys.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 Getting the leadoff hitter on seems to decrease the odds that we score.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 And now another ...as soon as this one is reviewed.
