Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 We had Scherzer in least partial pitch-count danger (more than 5 innings worth of pitches in 4 IP) but pretty much just put him back on track with a 1-2-3 inning on six pitches.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 Hot damn, deGrom looks filthy
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 101 pitches after 6. Terry better let him go out for the 7th.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 Let's beat up this pen, OK?Shit everyone else has, it's this team's one true weakness so far.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 There's this historical belief, that I think is overstated, which holds that Ron Darling was a good pitcher, but anytime that Gooden and Fernandez or Gooden and Cone or Gooden and Viola or Cone and Viola or Gooden and Saberhagen or whoever weren't available, Darling could never step up and BE the #1 pitcher.Like I said, I think it's been overstated, although Darling has said as much himself, but I'm kind of digging in a big way that deGrom is doing this with Syndergaard questionable and Harvey grinding and the Mets on the skids of late.Stay gold, deGromowitz.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 Ronnie has a tendency to overdo the 'I wasn't that good' angle about his own career. It's an easy trap for announcers to fall into and maybe my one complaint about his style is that he should do that less often.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 Nice catch by Grandy but I would have felt a whole lot better with Lagares out there chasing it.Terry could have PH'd Lagares last inning for Grandy after they IW'd Walker but Dusty would have instantly switched to the RH Blanton anyway.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 Safe. Let's pack on a few runzzzz here

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 Harper going down and Blevvy earns his white hat.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 That's why we pay Jerry Blevins the sorta kinda big money.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 Who is this dude in Zimmerman's clothes?

Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 I'm more worried about the dude in Reed's clothes.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 I just got in from the local beer garden and tried to tune into the game. MLB has once again decided that I am within the local blackout area for theis game. I'm over 500 miles from freakin' CitiField. They will never sucker me into paying for MLB.com again. I'm blocked for over half of the Mets home games.oh....Let's Go Mets!!!!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 Well, José, that was an unkind thing to do.

Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 I really expected Werth to jack one there.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 Terryble result for that pitching change. Cabrera could have made this all unnecessary

However, I was blocked from mosrt of the recent Atlanta series at CitiField.

I'm blocked for over half of the Mets home games. Is this MLB.TV?What I suspect is that they've decided you're within the Nationals 'home' area and so you're blocked that way.You should be able to find out which teams you're blocked for when you sign up for that service.I figure for you it would just be the Braves but some areas "overlap" and you can get two or more on the no-go list. That both are division rivals for the Mets just makes it worse since that's 38 games right there.
