MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 Oh no!David Wright will be blocking David Thompson, unless some of Wright's reps will be at first base.Good job, Edgy.Later
Guest 41Forever Guests Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 That's some pretty great depth.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted February 22, 2017 Author Posted February 22, 2017 Yeah, a Major League team could probably do worse than to take the field with the infield that Las Vegas looks to open the season with. And there's a handful of real prospects at the lower levels.Things look a lot thinner on the outfield side.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted February 22, 2017 Author Posted February 22, 2017 PS: Anybody adopt Alonso yet? He could be a real comer in 2017.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 Poor LJ Mazzilli. I predict he gets a job with the MFYs before the season's out.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 Ya know, if TJ Rivera is your 6th infielder even with Wright out, I'm feeling pretty good.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 I don't think I've ever heard of this Jon Johnson guy. Is he from Wisconnsin?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted February 22, 2017 Author Posted February 22, 2017 JJ's a Loyola Marymount product signed before the 2014 season after three years in the indy ball wilderness. Baseball-Reference (who updated their layout today, which will take some getting used to) calls him "John," but he's "Jonathan" in the MLB.com database. Weird.#persistence#jonniesnotasconnie
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted February 22, 2017 Author Posted February 22, 2017 I realize suddenly that Dale Burdick is in over his head at Bingo and is likely destined to open the season at St. Lucie.Stand by.
