Mets 2017 Minor Leaguer Cody Decker, late of Team Israel and currently a minor league free agent, is engaged to semi-famed sideline reporter Jenn Sterger, who is part of Generation #MeToo, reporting on a humiliating "interview" with ESPN that was just an exercise in humiliation.

Decker joins Ty Kelly as one of those dudes who survives the ambiguities of fate that the life on the fringes of the big leagues has to offer by being goofy. He's the one who convinced teammate Jorge Reyes to act deaf for months in order to punk Jeff Francoeur, filming a directing a documentary all along that was supposed to be about Reyes' triumph but was really about Francoeur's gullibility. The whole Mensch-on-the-Bench thing was apparently his idea also.

He and Sterger reportedly met on Twitter. That says Red Flag to me, but kids these days ...
