Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 Stylish and at times LOLLy documentary about the brothers Gallagher and how they bashed one another's heads in with cricket bats on their rocket to 90s BritPop stardom. (not much on the return journey). There are some really funny lines they get off about one another, and the experience. You wouldn't want to be either of these guys but they're fun to watch.I wasn't exactly along for the ride with Oasis but I'm crazy about those 1st 2 albums and admire their chutzpah.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 I streamed it on Ammyzon. Twice!yeh feckin bellend
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 Nah. They show how they found an engineer who made their recorded stuff obscenely loud, part of a million things that just happened for them to go from complete unknowns to festival seller-outters in 3 years.Noel's sudden burst of songwriting ability for one. He relates the first time he presented "Live Forever" bandmate "Bonehead" couldn't believe it wasn't a professional job. He describes getting so hot as a writer he knew his next song would go No. 1 but just hadn't been written yet.[youtube:39c0t3up]7wZJqUrJyDs[/youtube:39c0t3up]
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 Sweet, didn't know this was streamable. Gonna Amazon this weekend.
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 This was pretty great. I knew I thought Liam was a dickhead going in, but Noel was a dickhead in his own, different way, too. But both strangely sort of likeable, fun, assholes at the same time. You would probably be both happy and worried if they showed up to a party at your house.JCL alluded to Noel as the surprise hit song-writer and it was kinda funny to watch Liam get jealous and pout and not participate when Noel was blossoming. Especially when Noel is singing lead on 'Wonderwall'. FWIW, I like Liam's voice way better.Watch with the subtitles on unless you're metirish.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 Really liked this , I was all in on Oasis growing up in Ireland , made some great music, really liked the insight to the writing of "Talk Tonight ", absolutely love that song . B-side compilation album, The Masterplan is really worth checking out .The whole thing with their dad showing up at THe Point in Dublin made for tabloid fodder in Ireland at the time .
