An extra week of spring training because of the WBC! Hooray? I'm guessing that they'll add games on the 31st and the 1st somewhere outside of Florida. Don't forget that WAS and HOU are now in Palm Beach. No night games.

Round Robin games on March 6 - 10 in Seoul, South Korea

GROUP B: Australia, China, Cuba, Japan
Starting March 7th in Tokyo, Japan

GROUP C: Dominican Republic, Colombia, USA, Canada
Starting March 9th in Miami

GROUP D: Mexico, Puerto Rico, Italy, Venezuela
Starting March 9th in Guadalajara, Mexico


Top two teams from each advance to Round 2 in Tokyo from March 12 - 16 (Groups A & and in San Diego from March 14 - 19 (C & D)


Championship Round in Los Angeles, March 20 - 22

Do Cubans that have defected play for Cuba in the WBC? I wonder if we will have a Yoenis WBC controversy in the spring. Assuming Yoenis comes back of course.

If any of our starting pitchers even thinks about participating in the WBC I will protest outside of Tradition Field.

Maybe David Wright will be a coach in his "Captain America" capacity.

The Mets don't have any games against the WBC teams as others in Florida do. Ty Kelly is eligible for Team Israel but Korea is a long commute, especially for a guy hoping to make the majors.
