Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 Do Cubans that have defected play for Cuba in the WBC? I wonder if we will have a Yoenis WBC controversy in the spring. Assuming Yoenis comes back of course. If any of our starting pitchers even thinks about participating in the WBC I will protest outside of Tradition Field.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted November 15, 2016 Author Posted November 15, 2016 I imagine that Noah will be part of Team USA and he made the initial list: http://nypost.com/2016/11/01/mike-trout-bryce-harper-putting-us-in-tough-wbc-spot/Maybe David Wright will be a coach in his "Captain America" capacity. The Mets don't have any games against the WBC teams as others in Florida do. Ty Kelly is eligible for Team Israel but Korea is a long commute, especially for a guy hoping to make the majors.

bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted November 15, 2016 Author Posted November 15, 2016 I've read that his mother is Jewish. And a Ty goes to the Jew... or something like that.
