Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 ...aaaaand Cabrera might have hurt himself bad running the bases. Looked like his knee. Looked pretty bad. Slipped on 3rd rounding the bag.[crossout:2j9neswy]1-0 Mets[/crossout:2j9neswy]1-1 Mets
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2016 Author Posted July 31, 2016 Hey, a hit with a runner in scoring position [u:fbc38bcr]AND[/u:fbc38bcr] no one needed to be hospitalized as a result. Most teams would call that standard operating procedure. On this team it's called progress.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 De Aza de useful! RBI single. One more good thing and all his body parts will be outta my doghouse.2-1 Mets.[/bigpurple]

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2016 Author Posted July 31, 2016 So they're telling us that there was enough "definitive proof" in that replay to overturn that call?
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 Ughhhhhhhhhh, Rockies Blackmon, new to my nemesis list, scores on a...WHOA, CarGo out at the plate on a freaky passed ball play! They will review. I say he's out. Keith says safe. OUT CONFIRMED!
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2016 Author Posted July 31, 2016 In my view, this replay was no more or no less 'definitive' than the last one, but one got overturned and the other didn't.Personally I wouldn't have flipped either of them but I'd do that for every replay where there's not 'clear and convincing' evidence to do so and then maybe it would stop managers from challenging every call that maybe/might/could go there way if someone would only get the magnifying glass out.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 I was watching last night's game on the inter webs. The Mets were up 2-0 when a serious thunderstorm came through. A thunderstrike fried our modem and I've been offline ever since. I'm borrowing a neighbor's network now. Everything's been good since then, right?
