Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2016 Posted July 30, 2016 Lucroy won't save this team.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2016 Author Posted July 30, 2016 I am willing to take the chance. He is the best N.L. catcher not named Posey.Lucroy's option travels at 5.75 mill in 2017Add reliever and we might make the playoffs.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2016 Posted July 30, 2016 I don't believe that Lucroy OR a reliever are the difference between this being a playoff team or not.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted July 30, 2016 Posted July 30, 2016 Lucroy-dArnaud makes sense only if they've become convinced that dArnaud can't be a part of the solution longterm. But he was as recently as last year (when healthy). They gave Schneider and Thole better shots than that so far.I know Loney's been pretty okay but no saying how badly we miss Doodoo. Probably not in Cespedes DNA to become a first baseman.I would like to trade Walker away myself.

Nor is 90 wins likely to win the division this year.
