Going to Blevins to face Gonzalez is fine, but that leaves us with only Bastardo if they want to go to a lefty to face Dahl in the ninth.

Unless you want to let Blevins go after Story in between.

So Terry took out deGrom and weakened the defense for nothing.

Well, he meant to do it for something. The Mets just didn't provide it.
Which he could (should?, debatable) have anticipated given their hitting track record.

Understand that. With Reed out and Blevins typically a short-timer, is he bringing Familia in for the ninth? Not available, right?

I certainly would have been against lifting Lagares.

Boo. Needed at least a run from that situation.

Well dammit, a major-league baseball team should be able to put up at least one run in a bases-loaded, no-out situation.

I'm not one to boo my team, but after that inning I must join you.

BOOOOooooOOOoooOO!

I will cheer our pitching insanely if we can keep things in check.

Agreed. That was a bad move and it puts an infielder in the outfield.

Fammy is up. Hmmph.

I like the "get right back out there" thing but I dunno about it this time. From Juerys post game interviews last night, he will welcome this. But I dunno...

Will his arm welcome it?

Lead off single, so....I dunno.

I've come to the realization that you never really get cured of Benitez Syndrome. It's always there buried inside your soul.

stolen base.

Cabrera getting a day off with a spike injury probably couldn't hurt

What happened to Familia getting a day off? Was Terry talked into changing his mind by another pitcher?

I heard this earlier and I was okay with it for all the obvious reasons.

OMG. Rivera had the best intentions there. Being that the ball was so close and the guy was just getting out of the box I would have jumped on that and thrown to 1st. Hard one to call though.

Robles should have started the inning.

What's next, a balked-in run?

This entire inning has been seeing eye singles, walks, bunt singles, broken bat infield-single/error, SBs, WPs

This would be the major thing I would have hoped to avoid. Familia blowing 2 in a row. I can only hope that Mets fans give Familia a lot of rope. Don't start turning on him already.

2-1, not NY.

Terry over-managed the shit out of this game and none of his decisions worked out. Even with removing deGrom, he could have gone with Robles/Blevins in the 8th and Reed in the 9th but no. And now Yo isn't available to PH in the 9th.

That's how I had it laid out. Was he saving Robles for this?
