Ha! Just when I thought I had TC figured out. Shoulda batted Matz 8th today. That might have been useful.

Somehow they survive that inning without a scratch.

Reyes trying to recapture his leadoff homer record.

Ugh, Gelbs, how about picking up the call in a timely and thorough manner.

Reyes with another kaBOOM. I have some Reyes kaBOOMS, pretty sure.
OO, a special one .

Granderson has certainly been hitting, and I implore him to do so now.

Hey, we slayed that dragon Murph.

One thing that would help a whole lot would be to stop walking Werth each and every fucking time he comes to the plate.

Granderson gets such a bad rap around here despite being the Mets' best free agent hitting acquisition since Carlos Beltran, what did he do wrong?

I was going to say 'Not be Carlos Beltran' but then I remembered that lots of Mets fans didn't like Beltran either so there's probably nothing he could do.

I'm with you '83. Even his usually down months of April & May he was producing. I understand the noodle arm in right business but not why folks are down on him overall.

I almost feel for De Aza, who has been pummeled by baseballs all day.

Almost.

On the verge of losing 6 of 7 to WSH, I hardly feel for any of them. de Aza is so bad he can't even get hit by a pitch.

So basically the remainder of this game will be an exercise in
a) whether we can hold the Nats to no more runs
and
B) whether we can hit two more solo HRs
