The main difference is that he's a FA at the end of the year whereas we have JB for 2017 also - which I suppose one could look at as either a positive or a negative.

The real story is Colin Rea. In between Men at Work reunion tours. Colin was pitching for San Diego. But Colin got traded, because he's a Padre, and it's the law. But it was one of those seven-player deals (the Andrew Cashner deal) that, once the eggs are scrambled, they cannot be unscrambled.

So, the Padres' trade partners, the Marlins, IMMEDIATELY tried to un-scramble the eggs. Well not so immediately. Rea took the hell for the Fishies, threw 3 1/3 innings of one-hit, shutout ball, and left the game with an elbow injury.

Then the Marlins ("absolutely livid" according to Jeff Passan) returned Rea to the Padres pretty much before the game was over, getting one of the pieces they sent over in the package — class A righty Luis Castillo. Because if your name is "Luis Castillo," the Marlins are a destiny that you just can't shake.

Reddick w/Dodgers 11 for 75; .147/.210/.160; 10 singles + 1 double

He somehow managed to be worse than Jay Bruce who has all of 13 hits (81 AB) w/5 of them for XB
