(e) ... an all-star — kids will be imitating his stance, endorsements will come, and at least three all-star games will see him take a bow, maybe even one of them will include a start.

(f) ... a superstar — anchoring a lineup, ahead of everybody with adjustments, driving opposing managers crazy, the guy you never want to face with the game on the line, the guy that makes the whole lineup seem different when he's injured. And if he stays healthy, Cooperstown.
