Did I dream this, or is he Meadow Soprano's father-in-law?

Cutter Dykstra, who turns 27 tomorrow, ended last season at AAA Syracuse in the Washington system but Meadow Soprano (now 35 y/o and the mother of at least one child w/Dykstra) is presumably a housewife in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania as Cutter found himself back in the Nationals' AA team for the 2016 season. Just a couple of crazy Long Island born kids making their way in the world.

Cutter's 20 y/o brother Luke is currently doing decently in low-A Rome, Georgia in the Atlanta system after being drafted by them in the 7th round in 2014.
No word on whether he's married to the daughters of any mobsters, real or otherwise.

Someone should do a movie! We'll call it Lenny Legend. A comedic

OMG - Will Ferrell should star in it!

From Wikipedia

In 2012, Sigler began dating baseball player Cutter Dykstra, the son of baseball player Lenny Dykstra.[24][25] The two became engaged on January 28, 2013,[26] and announced in February 2013 that they were expecting a baby.[27] Sigler gave birth to their son, Beau Kyle Dykstra, on August 28, 2013.[28] They were married in Palm Springs, California on January 16, 2016.[29]

Okay I listened to a portion of this. Is Lenny really so stupid that he doesn't realize that Howard stern & co are all about making you say the dumbest things ever? Lololol

He was on SNY's Loud Mouths late afternoon. I only saw the last 45
seconds but he seemed pretty coherent. Ya know, for Lenny.

Not that Dykstra needs much prompting to say something stupid.

Kinda surprised how SNY is giving Lenny so much attention.

He was on Mike and Mike this morning. Very odd.

None of these sports shows have the guts (or enough alternative programming) to just say NO to guys hawking books, even the ones that everyone knows are going to be pieces of trash upon arrival.
So Dykstra has a book and Mike & Mike have nothing to talk about between the NBA playoffs and the beginning of NFL training camp so if Lenny had an opera record to sell they'd bring him on for a lack of better ideas.

He talked about that. He said he 'Pearl-Harbored' King to get the quote. Went to his house with the book and badgered him to read it and give him a quote.

Do you suppose that would work? I need to get some blurbs for my book. Doesn't have to be Stephen King..

Looks like Cutter will have plenty of time to spend with the kid. Hope Meadow has some acting gigs lined up.

Cutter Dykstra released by Harrisburg Senators

Jun 14, 2016

Long-time Harrisburg Senator and fan favorite on City Island, Cutter Dykstra, was released by the Washington Nationals' organization Tuesday.

Hmmmm. His stats weren't that bad w/Harrisburg [.297/.381/.365] so, between that and the timing of his release, you wonder if his old man's writing and yapping about his writing played any role in this.

On the other hand, Cutter wasn't playing regularly, displayed almost zero power (just like pre-injection papa), and was a 27 y/o in AA.

He was on Good Day New York, too.
They said his book is #1 on Amazon? I guess people like a train wreck. (Unless they've been in one, like I have)

A YLDB at my office got a tweet about one of his upcoming personal appearances and tweeted back "Will it be in a bar or a strip club:?

#15 according to my clicking. But maybe it was #1 at the time they said it. More likely #1 in some sub-category. But man, even #15 is insane. WtF?

It must be dropping like a rock then, #1 to #15 in an hour

Why did they just use a cut of Darling interviewing Dykstra? Why would the the organization (and Darling — who is implicitly ripped when Dykstra goes after Johnson for starting him in game seven of the '88 NLCS) carrying water for this guy?
