Guest Mets Guy in Michigan Guests Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 Just as ESPN piles on even more surpurlatives on Kershaw, A Cabra-kaboom!
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 Cabrera was not being counted on for a home run, so we are still due.Oh Bastardo, if you don't hold it here I will say nasty things about you, and maybe your mom. Depends on the severity.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 Bastardo back in the saddle. Good. We'll need him. Have to imagine Reed gets some work in the eighth or ninth, yeah?
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 SITDOWN UTLEY!!!!!!!!!That's where you punch him. Right in the out.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 I'm watching the game on ESPN Deportes. It's way more pleasant than listening to the asswipes on the English telecast.

Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 Nice pitch down and in on the black to strike out Utley. That pitch was closer to Utley than Syndergaard's "slip" yesterday.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 Of course it was the Leprechaun's first stolen base of the season. Of course it was ><
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 The gnome steals second to get into scoring position, Bastardo strands him.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 Whew. Bastardo, may your mother live long and prosper.Preferably in army boots. No dis, they are "in" these days
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 A little wild, but ultimately pretty solid. Bastardo in a nutshell, really. (And yes, Z, it is "phase.")
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 The skill level of MLB umps is pathetic. Most of them could be fired and replaced by random college umps and we wouldn't know the difference.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 How do you miss a ball hitting the dirt in front of you when it kicks up actual dirt in doing so?

I could pull my eyes out and cover my ears and I'd be better than 50% of the umps out there. And what a great seat for the game!!
Guest Mets Guy in Michigan Guests Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 Campbell thinks he needs to recreate the "Ball gets by Buckner" moment.Lonely can't get here soon enough.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 Campy can make me look really good here.....by bunting??!!! GAHHHHHHlolugh
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 Hmm. First time I've whipped out my shit list this season. What's Eric's middle name? I don't want to be misconstrued.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 Bunting would have been a decent idea there... y'know, if any of these guys could execute a bunt.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 (edited) Jeurys, testing my patience again with the leadoff hit. But then he makes Utley look bad, so bygones. Edited May 29, 2016 by Guest

Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 Granderson and the Mets benefit from a questionable pitcher change by Roberts of the Dodgers. Unless Kershaw was totally gassed I would have left him in for Granderson, then gone to their closer Janson. If your going to lift Kershaw, you have to go to your closer. I would have left Kershaw in to face Granderson. Of course, I wouldn't go to Familia in a non-save situation here. Of course, managing from my lounger with a cold beer in my hand, is easy.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 Thanks be for weak bats. Frankly, the idea of Utley versus a wobbly Family with men on made me a little worry-woozy.
