Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 Hi, I'm skinny, sensitive, and artistic Mets reserve infielder and internet funny man Ty Kelly. You may think, that a minor league journeyman won't taste a real New York bagel this year, but hey, I'm funny, and between me and Ty Cobb, we have 4,189 hits.I hit .179 this spring, so that isn't going to get me my big break, but I'm a grinder, and I think I'm going to grind out a season worthy of the name Ty. What do you think?[fimg=365:2jqjr1xa]http://www3.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/New+York+Mets+v+Washington+Nationals+RdrKxSSCG0Pl.jpg[/fimg:2jqjr1xa] [fimg=335:2jqjr1xa]http://metsmerizedonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/ty-kelly-e1457298310949.jpg?6c20df[/fimg:2jqjr1xa]
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 Skinny, sensitive, artistic, and funny? Is Jim Lange doing sabermetricsnow? Nothing Metly in 2016.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 He will be the kind of player a Wally Backman can appreciate. That's good for TY, because he will be playing for Wally this year. If Wally gets promoted, he will wish Ty a fond good-bye and leave him in the minors. He won't appreciate him THAT much.Later
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 5, 2016 Author Posted May 5, 2016 Ty is living up to his first name and then some, hitting .421 through his first 72 plate appearances for Vegas this year.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 Eight minor league seasons, first major league callup tonight for 27-year-old Ty. His manifest includes Norfolk, Memphis, Buffalo and Las Vegas, all former or current Met farm clubs.
