Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 I picked up two 2016 Baseball magazines 2 or 3 weeks ago. One was the Sporting News, don't recall the other. Ya know, the annual BASEBALL issues. They picked the Mets to repeat in the east and the N.L. overall. And I thought, oh, that's kinda scary. But at the same time I feel that way, no question. I haven't felt this confident in a Mets team since 1988. So I read on-I always go right to the Mets pages and read them first- and it goes on to say we will have a tougher time of it because of the offensive holes presented by the loses of Dan Murphy and Yoenis Cespedes. And I was like, WHAT! Both magazines went to press before we got Cespedes back! I didn't notice, they must have been out for awhile. Not even sure if they had Walker penciled in at second. But the thing that got me was that they were picking the Mets to repeat as N.L. Champs BEFORE WE GOT CESPEDES BACK!And then my legs got all rubbery and my knees got all weak and I fainted.
