Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 Actually, the Tigers are at Mets on SNY... metsdotcom had the other splitsquad game (I'm assuming) listed...

Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 Reynolds flies out to deep outfield.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 a walk by Matz but nothing else. Some solid middle infield play sounded like .
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 Mets leave 5 on through 2 innings. no score.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 Matz strikes out the side in the second.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 Muno drives in one and Reynolds thrown out at home. 1-0 Mets.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 Cards get it right back on a single by their italian hard cookie. (Piscotti)They threw Matz for 3, for whatever that's worth.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 What does MLB Channel put on in the tri-state area when the Metsare on but can't be shown? A Derek Jeter special, of course.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 Jeff Walters having a rough return to action. Error by Krause at 1B not helping.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 2 runs score on a single/error by Travis Taijeron, which I did not know this before 2016 is pronounced "Tyrone"

ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 Spring training baseball is beyond boring.
Guest cooby classic Guests Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 I can remember watching these games eagerly. Is it just me or has something happened?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 ST is longer than it used to be and more games are broadcast now as compared to yesteryear. They were always mostly meaningless, you just used to pay slightly more attention when you barely got a glimpse of them.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 I caught the Taijeron/Tyrone pronunciation over the weekend. Color me impressed, but why should anybody be surprised to find Gary in mid-season form?He looked like a player over the weekend, but maybe he fits the axiom of AAAA players being the guys who do things right 90% of the time, while big leaguers do it 99%, or something.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 All day I avoided the IGT, because I was recording the game to watch tonight on the DVR, and it turns out that this wasn't the game on TV at all. Damn split quad.I've watched and enjoyed the Mets leading the Tiggers 7-2 in the 9th at this point in the recording. Big hits were by Duda and Walker, 3 strong innings by Colon, though the 9th inning is a poo fest for the Mets staff here at the end.
