G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted March 22, 2016 Author Posted March 22, 2016 Two events coming up: Saturday March 26 (noon to three) at Foley's, Thursday March 31 (6 to 7:30 PM) at the Central Branch of the Queens Library in Jamaica. All kinds of info here, including a report from Bergino last week, where you can impress all your sedermates with a baseball yarmulke.[fimg=400]http://www.faithandfearinflushing.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/gp-bergino-march-2016.jpg[/fimg]

Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 I jinxed it, the Guinness was broken!Nice time, thanks to our gracious hosts.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 It may not have been all of the cool kids in attendance, but there was a strong CPF showing this afternoon. It was excellent being able to hang out with friends, discuss the Mets and watch G-Fafif sell out all of his books, including to random Red Sox fans who just showed up at Foley's for lunch. We have to do this more often. G-Fafif needs to release books on a more regular basis!
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 I got down to reading this a little later than I thought I would...but I finished it in one sitting yesterday afternoon.Great work, Greg! I'm sure I'll be coming back to this book to recall the 2015 season again and again.

And I was so happy to see the Fairy, D-Dad, Kase and JCL at Foley's yesterday. Appreciate the support always.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2016 Author Posted April 17, 2016 Information on Amazin' Again's first Long Island promotional appearance here. Also here:I'll be reading, discussing, signing, perhaps drinking at the lovely Turn of the Corkscrew, purveyor of books and wine, in beautiful Rockville Centre, ancestral home of at least one CPFer and a George Stone's throw from the current home of another (me). It's 7 PM, Monday night, May 16, 110 N. Park Avenue, convenient to the LIRR, Sunrise Highway and not too far south of the Southern State. Did I mention they traffic in wine and (as the proprietor emphasized) craft beer? The Mets are off that night, but the Mets have been off most of 2016. Either way, a good excuse to imbibe if that's your thing. And for all who have asked (which, admittedly, is nobody here, but it does come up from time to time in other places), personally inscribed signed copies of the book can be wrangled here. The eBay business is my sister's, I'm just along for the content.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2016 Author Posted May 9, 2016 May 16, 7 PM, Rockville Centre, L.I., Turn of the Corkscrew Books & Wine. Come for one, stay for the other.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2016 Author Posted June 14, 2016 It's Amazin' Mets By The Numbers Again, a mashup book event featuring two familiar authors in Greenpoint tonight at seven. If you're in the vicinity, do drop on by.
