Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2015 Author Posted October 3, 2015 Jeurys Familia, I should point out, just missed sweeping all six Reliever of the Month awards for 2015. After the game of September 29 had been tallied, Familia was still in the lead for September. The 0.33 points that Addison Reed earned on the final day of the month put himself over the top.
batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Fittingly, three out of this month's four Schaefer winners are the new guys. It's practically a brand new team out there on the field.Nice cards. I'm gonna miss 'em.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2015 Author Posted October 4, 2015 You may have missed it; Schaefer is going to continue next year but the voting method will be different. It may result in a further decline in participation, but it will also require a lot less of my time, which is a trade-off I'm willing to make. Look for an announcement this offseason. For those who don't vote but just read these monthly threads, the only difference you're likely to not is that there will no longer be all of those "Schaefer POTG" threads floating around in this forum.
batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 (edited) I did miss it. Do you tabulate the October games? I don't remember what you did in past seasons? Are there October Schaefer awards based on just a few games? I see that there are voting threads for the October games. So many questions from someone who didn't vote a single game all season. Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2015 Author Posted October 4, 2015 The October games count towards the overall Player of the Year award, but there are no October players of the month.
