Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Lest it be overlooked, today being September 1 means the Mets have pulled off a rather rare achievement for them, successfully carrying a Rule V player for the entire season, thus fully securing the rights to the player.I guess the last time they pulled off that trick was with reserve first baseman/pinch hitter Eric Valent, and that was when they didn't have a nettleson pennant race getting in the way.
