Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 They could have a strange roster situation where the team moves to activate Murphy, but he'll be unable participate in the first game, and Campbell (or Dilson) will have to grind their way through, knowing he'll be dismissed after the continued game. That's already going to be the situation with Verrett, or somebody.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 Figures things won't be routinely normal for Matz's start tomorrow.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 Another quirky roster situation - if the Mets had postponed today's game instead of playing it, and made it part of a scheduled double header, they would have been able to add Matz to the roster under the "26 players for a doubleheader" rule. But because tomorrow's two games involve the resumption of a suspended game, I'm not sure if they will have to remove a player (dl? Paternity leave? option? etc.) to add Matz.Later
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 Anyone know who's pitching when they resume today?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 So, is Miller going on between games or after Game Two today? Because if it's half as beautiful in New York as it is in DC, it's a great day for some jungle lovin'.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 I've never seen anything like this sustained string of group RiSP incompetence.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 Mets are now 5-43 (.116) w/RiSP over the last 8 gamesBut as bad as that sounds, it's actually worse as 2 of those 5 hits didn't even bring in runs even though one of them was a double (remember deGrom tagging up on a ball off the wall?)The 3 hits that did result in RBIs brought in a total of 4 runs [2 1-run singles + 1 2-run single]Most of our other runs this past week have been Granderson solo HRs

Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 And they win the damn thing.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 Well, if we're not going to hit our way to victories we'll just hang around long enough until the opposition walks and errors a run in.btw, that inning tacks on another 0-2 w/RiSP onto that above yucky total.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 Two misplays by Votto. Flukey stuff. Big win tho. I hope Matz isn't shittin' bricks back in the clubhouse. He's been sitting around all afternoon just waiting.
