Wheeler was doing that off and on, wasting too many pitches trying to be too precise. We are fortunate that there are a few Blue Jays who will chase out of the zone.Frayed Knot wrote:He did the first time around ... didn't do him any good.I think he still should be swinging away. He pwns Buehrle.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 So this Reyes guy seems like a player.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 I may have to take all that back. Thor paints the inside corner with a wicked fastball and Reyes stands there dribbling.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 HA! You suck Bautista. Can't field Duda's grasscutter to first. Scored a double, and rightly so. No one out.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Disastrous whiffs looking we're getting these days.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Flores & Mayberry do jack shit. Swing the bat Wilma! It's up to Herrera. Gah! Grounds out. That was an odd one. You never see a third baseman go for the runner like that. But Duda was right there.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Ever since I compared him to Wheeler he's been pounding the zone. Noah at 10 K's, 101 pitches, 6th inning.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Noah hasn't gotten much support of late.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 I'm not a fan of the two step that Flores does EVERYTIME he fields a grounder. Once I saw him not do it, on a Jeter fade/.jump/throw play deep in the hole. I don't recall if he got the runner but it was a good strong throw. He does not need to build momentum with the arm he has. I wish he would lose the two step.Another K for Synderguaard ends the Jays 6th.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 There's a place for diving/sliding into first.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 OH! Nice running by Plewicki. WHAT!!? Error?! I guess it was pretty routine. Reyes lollypopped it.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2015 Author Posted June 15, 2015 (edited) A successful sac bunt by one of our pitchers!!!!Is that our 2nd one this year or 3rd?oe: and it sets up a run!! Edited June 15, 2015 by Guest
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Wow... a bunt!!It looked he was trying to go the other side, but... a successful bunt!!
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 MET PITCHER WHO CAN SACRIFICE ALERT!Tying run on 2nd.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 YEAAA. And Lags takes 2nd! YEAYEAYEAAAA!1-1 Mets
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Let's get Syndergaard out of here with a lead, a lead, a lead.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Tejada doubles (coulda been a triple) and WE GOT LEAD!!!2-1 Mets
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Bautista giveth and Bautista taketh away.He played that ball like he was taking something hot out of the oven.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Cuddy REALLY busting it down to 1st. I like seeing that. Too many times I see em running like it's the monthly softball game that they're playing.CTorres for the 7th?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 I wouldn't be surprised to see Terry try to use five pitchers to get the next nine outs.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Great curve by Torres to get Kokopelli.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 On the other hand, let's try and get nine outs out of Torres.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 We've benefitted from some shady defense: Encarnacin's ol play at first, Bautista's playing a flare into a double, and Reyes sailing his throw on Plawecki's grounder in the hole.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Granderson set to PH for CTorres w/2 out. Plewicki walks . Curtis will bat.
