Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 Mets signed Brooks Conrad journeyman infielder known for clutch hitting and anti-clutch fielding to a minor league contract yesterday.Did not arrive in Vegas in time for their 10-4 beatdown of Albuquerque today, but things had been getting light in the 51s' infield department. They had been down to four infielders since the Muno and Reynolds promotions, with Alex Castellanos serving as a fifth. Two keys to enjoying Brooks Conrad's presence in your organization: (1) don't call him Brooks Kieschnick (he hates that) and (2) don't remind him of his three errors in game three of the 2010 NLCS. He kinda really hates that.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 Thanks for putting that song in my head!(For the record, I too prefer not to be called "Brooks Kieschnick". Whoever that is.)
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 Hey, bud--- Kieschnick had more of a bat than this guy does, even excepting the whole hitting-pitcher thing he picked up with the Brewers. But, hey, more guests at the Metparty who remember the eighties firsthand? Welcome Abordick.
