Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 When do we swap out Washington for the Dodgers in this scenario?Hell, the Mets are only 1.5 games behind the Cubs for record. If it's NLCS Mets v Cubs that could matter right? (Wikipedia says it's still division winner precedence, so I guess not. Cards have a 7 game lead on Mets for record)
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Yes, the wild-card team cannot have home field advantage in the NLDS or NLCS.It is an interesting question as to which central team the Mets would prefer to face in a hypothetical NLCS matchup.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Well, their best regular season record was against the Cardinals, but you can only put so much weight on that. The Mets team that lost seven games to the Cubs, for example, is a very different team than the one that they have now.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 Today goes down as a truly wonderful day of baseball.Mets 12 Reds 5 - Good guys win.Phillies 8 Nationals 2 - Bad guys lose.White Sox 5 Yankees 2 - Evil Empire loses.Blue Jays 5 Rays 3 - Congenial Canadien neighbors win.Mets magic number is down to 1.
