Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 Things are pretty bad in Colorado.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2015 Author Posted March 30, 2015 I wonder why they've abandoned the practice of having the defending champ getting to host the Sunday Night stand-alone opener. Not that I'm crying in my soup over the fact that they've seemingly dumped this 'tradition' (however short-lived it was) but ...a) it was a small token of honor and a growing recent tradition so why not keep it? tossing on an extra night game in Wrigley in early April is just asking for weather troubleBut, of course, television rules and so the opening weeks of Sunday Night Baseball will take place in such warm weather sites as: Chicago, Bronx, St Louis, Bronx, and Boston, with those first five weeks featuring a wide variety of teams such as: the Cardinals twice, the Red Sox twice, and the Yanquis three times (I'm not sure if the folks at ESPN can NAME many other teams) ... with 'Guest Star' token appearances by the Cubs, Reds, and Mets (week 4).

I imagine that's the primary thing they'll talk about. Well that and how Didi struck out where Jeter would've done something gritty .

Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the Milwakuee-Colorado is the first opener in history where two Kyles faced one another. The TB-BAL Chris vs. Chris maybe also.
