metirish Old-Timey Member Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 d'Arnaud says it felt to him that Harvey threw better today than when he last caught him........sounded a tad happy when interviewed.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Vic Black gives it back.Wow, he looks sloppy out there.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 And Matt Reynolds wins it with a lead-off, 9th inning, solo walk-off.Good day to be named Matt on the Mets.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Reynolds KABOOMIN' a walk off in what would have beena 4-4 tie!
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Wow, a walkoff in the 9th. Reynolds. Mets win
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 City of Long Beach so moved by Matt's home run heroic they have named a body of water for him.
Theoldmole Old-Timey Member Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Got the game on my car radio on WOR - I guess MLB At Bat has the internet rights, so WOR on TuneIn can't carry it. I got used to the Rangers, who are on ESPN radio even on TuneIn. I've re-upped for MLB At Bat now. Eventually, I got to the gym and saw the latter part of the game on TV while on the treadmill. It was baseball, and it was the Mets, and it was wonderful, even with some sloppy play in the field.Happy Harvey Day!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Yeah, the fielding and base running looked very March 6. But Keith wasn't ripping them for it, so if he's willing to write it off to winter rust, I'll accept that. But Darling was very insistent about Jeurys having a mental block with throwing to the bases. So that may be something to watch out for.Elsewise, I'm feeling very ReHarveyed. Kinda funny to see folks around the beginnings of internet buzz for Reynolds as opening day starting shortstop.[fimg=500:18fogeo3]http://dailystache.net/wp-content/uploads/Screen-Shot-2015-03-06-at-7.26.21-PM.png[/fimg:18fogeo3]
Guest cooby Guests Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 I will never get that outfit out of my head when hearing Green Tambourine again
Guest cooby Guests Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Though I have to admit I had one similar that my aunt made me and I loved it
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 When I was a senior in high school, my friends and I scripted a film about the Lemon Pipers. We began pre-production during that glorious first summer but never got to shooting. We clearly needed your help with costuming.
Guest cooby Guests Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Or at least my aunt's help. I would love to see that script! And was that ann miller at the end of that video?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 That's her.How weak that they had to mime the song. Most acts I remember performed live in Mike Douglas.
Guest cooby Guests Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Still the mime was great! The lead singer looked a little POed about herJust did a little digging--- lemon pipers had some ties to Ram Jam of Black Betty fame

Maybe it was just some scrubeenie serving it up but I'd like that kinda pop from my SS. That's not Tejada, that's for sure.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 It hasn't really been him either (yesterday afternoon excepting). I mean, Tejada had a better home run rate last year, and he didn't have Vegas and the rest of the PCL to help him.If we want a slugging shortie, Flores remains our go-to hope. Not to detract from yesterday's shot, which was slugged indeed. Hey, was Reynolds one of the Barwis Boyz?
