A non-roster invitee in on a minor league contract, Alex Castellanos is the great hope for all Mets fan clubs ensconced within Cubano societies and expatriate Cubano societies ensconced within Mets fan clubs. A 28 year old with a coupla cuppas with the Dodgers behind him, his biggest claim to fame so far is being traded for Rafael Furcal.

Signed the day after Michael Cuddyer. Like Cuddy, he brings some versatility to the table, with experience at second and third.

But will he make it to the table at all? That's for you to decide. What do you predict Alex Castellanos will provide for the Mets in 2015?

Cut loose around March 31.

As an NRI, this would be something, getting let go without even getting a minor league assignment. Mets fan clubs ensconced within expatriate Cubano societies and expatriate Cubano societies ensconced within Mets fan clubs would be bitterly disappointed.
